We would like HQ to consider adding "Event Host" as an assigned member role option. I am aware Event Hosts can be added to any event or the person who suggested a meetup can be assigned Event Host for that particular event, and even blank drafts can be set up with anyone assigned as an Event Host to log in and fill in the details.

But we have several members who announce and host regular classes/workshops on our site. We would like the option to give these people a permanent Event Host role, just like the other member roles, and the option to assign or remove it as we see fit, to allow certain people in our group to schedule and announce meetups that only they facilitate without having to go through the "suggested meetup" process and being assigned the event host by an organizer each and every time they suggest something.

We do not want to give them Event Organizer roles (currently the role with the least controls) because they would still have the ability to edit other people's meetups and access the group email feature and we don't like that. We only want to give certain people the ability to create, schedule and announce their own events without them having access to anything else.

Not sure if this would be a valuable option but we envision this role could fall last in the hierarchy of member roles, underneath the Event Organizer, with the barest minimum of controls for announcing single events on their own with no access to any other site controls, other than the ability to edit their own meetups and RSVP lists and email their own attendees from inside their meetups. We would NOT want them to have the ability to email the entire group.

Hello. About collecting money. Other than collecting annual dues via paypal like we are already doing, How do I create another drop down they can choose when paying money to the group? For example: someone wishes to make an additional donation or wishes to pay for Group T Shirts or Group Patches via the online paypal approach and categorized by a drop down that allows them to choose what type of payment is this for example; Annual Dues, T- Shirts, Patch. Can we do this? Something says this has yet to be programmed in...is this the toher way to make it happen? create an event, say called T-Shirt Orders and require a fee. 10.00 for t shirt or 12.00 for extra large and above?

How can we do this?

The new theme system is quite powerful but it has a small issue for groups with a banner picture:

The thin (8px) line between the banner and the menu is systematically set to be 25% lighter than the banner background colour specified in the configuration menu.

I understand why you would want to do that with plain colour banners, but it makes no sense when the group uses a banner picture. For those groups, the actual banner background is replaced by the picture. If you alter the line colour, the "banner colour" specified in the configuration is not used in the banner at all anymore (!?)

Can you please change this behaviour and use the specified banner colour for the line when a banner image is active vs. use the lighter version when no image is used and the plain colour banner is visible?

Provide a "Monitor" button as one of the RSVP options. There are many meetups that are posted months before they take place or that are pending a date/place. I usually don't want to put myself down as a 'Yes' RSVP until it gets closer or until the date/location is set as this gives the organizer an inaccurate read on the level of interest. By not RSVP'ing to 'Yes', I miss out on updates to the meetup and reminders. RSVP'ing with 'Monitor' would allow me to continue to get updates on the meetup, reminders as it gets closer and get notified if the details get changed/updated -- and then I can update to "Yes" when I know I can make it.
