meetup location
I do not like the new way of selecting locations. It used to sort by most popular and allows me to search with the first letter. Now I have to keep pressing "more" and it is not even sorted in anyway! Very annoying!

Please delete the pop up for signing up. I can't read the description. I always have to close it.
It is very annoying not to be able to read the meetup description as every time we open the page the pop up for signing up covers half of the description. There is no need for this pop up. We can always hit the sing up buttton. Instead, we ALWAYS have to close the pop up in order to read any details. Please get rid of the pop up. Thanks!

Please Restore Ability for Members to Waitlist if an Event is "Closed"
My large dining group that I co-organize (nearly 3,000 members) used to be able to Close New Yes RSVPs but still allow members to expressing event interest by adding themselves to the waitlist (if enabled). It was an enhanced method of Manual Waitlist, by allowing the Org to indiv. choose which waitlisters to cherrypick (once we confirmed manually with a member that they truly still have interest in attending & haven't made alt. plans, & promise to definitely show-up).
With the redesign, once we "close" the event no new member who's not already on the waitlist cannot add themselves. It's…

Allow NO RSVP for FULL Wait-Listed events and turn off e-mails for such events.
Allow NO RSVP for full/wait-listed events and/or turn off annoying e-mail reminders for full events if we didn't RSVP YES!

Give people the ability to decline all events in a repeating / recurring event
We have recurring meetups in our group on a specific theme that not all members are interested in. Right now, they have to decline each event in the recurring series, even though they may never want to go to that event. It's time consuming and annoying, and may cost group members.

Need ability to Repeat meetup but not necesarily monthly
I have the same type of meetup, It is called Thank God it's Friday Crop Event. But, It is not necessarily a montly event. Sometimes it skips a month, or two months. We should have the ability to put it on the calendar when ever we want it instead of having to copy and paste all that information over and redo the form every time.

All or Nothing when it comes to showing the meetup groups we're in
How about allowing us to check off the groups we want to show up on our profiles rather than all or nothing? I may not wan everyone to know that I am in the Hoarders Support Group or the Ex-con Volleyball (just for examples), and the way it is now, I have to hide all of my groups to hide that secret or keep some thing private

Add show/hide option to sponsors for both public and member views
We'd like to show sponsors (whom we endorse) to everyone and perks only to members (whom we don't).
Back story: we want to differentiate between perks - which are administered by the vendor - and sponsors where we're receiving cash or in-kind donations to the group.
We happily advertise on behalf of Sponsors (who provide facilities, catering, raffle items, etc.), but don't want to display logos for the Perks except to our members. It's an integrity issue - it should be possible to offer perks without publicly endorsing the vendor (e.g. training providers), but as a group we only want…

Organisers should be able to rate perks & offers to avoid spamming!
There should be a way for us , meetup organizers to rate an offer. Way to Mark it relevant or not relevant at all. And if it scores very poor consistently then you guys can suspend the account of advertiser or something like that.

Auto Emails for New Events
Ensure there is an option for auto emails to be sent out once a new event is posted. This option currently doesn't exist. It used to automatically do this with the old meetup version, but doesn't seem to be working now.

Pre-log in and post-log in text on home page is inconsistent
I like the post-log in text for the home page but it is a bit strange and inconsistent to have a super bold pre-log text vs. post log-in... Also, the activity comments do not need to be so large.

Please make searching work. When I search for "New Work City" I get results for "New York City"
Ideally I would be able to search for a venue. At a minimum, if I put a phrase inside quotes, then searching should returns results only for that exact phrase.
