Be able to continue from last event viewed, instead of scrolling through previous viewed events
Be able to return back to the same place after reviewing an event. Some groups have 25+ events on the calendar. Instead of being returned back to the front page after reviewing, or RSVPing to a specifice event, we should be able to continue on from the last viewed event, or you should put page numbers at bottom of events page so that we can bypass all of the events that have already been viewed.

Same buttons in ALL boxes(event desc, email, mess brds) center, pics, color
Make it EASY for us to add flair to our pages by having the same format buttons, not different ones. It would also be GREAT if we could highlight ONE THING and do multiple tasks instead of having to re-highlight the same thing to make changes (bold/color/size) etc.

STOP CHANGING EVERYTHING.
It is frustrating when you change how to get to the calendar, even how to get to my personal messages... it seems everytime I log on, I have to learn a new system.

unpaid dues Mailing lists
I think it would be helpful if there was a mailing list for all our unpaid membership dues. Then we could send out mass emails to only the unpaid members for collection.

Favorite/Most Active Groups
A "Favorite Groups" section on the home page above the "Your xx Meetup Groups" or a way to permanently sort your groups in the "My Groups" list at the top of the page for quick access vs. having to "See all" and go through pages.

Since MAYBE is gone, we should allow users to add an event to their calendar before RSVPing.
The lack of a Maybe RSVP is causing huge percentages of No Shows now, since to bookmark an event, people are just RSVPing YES so they see it on their calendar. If they had some way of bookmarking an event or adding to their calendar (like watching an item on ebay), we would only get Yes RSVPs from people who really want to come, and people who are not yet ready to commit will still be reminded about the upcoming event.

Restore ability to create additional discussion forums on the Message Board
Our writer's group made good use of several forums for different purposes, such as announcements, reviewing work and responding to creative challenges.

allow different contact emails under one account.
I have 3 groups but they are different entities and have different contact emails, however if I don't want to pay 3 separate dues then I am forced to use the same contact email for messages and paypal for all my groups. I would like to see the ability to change contact email for each group while still having one central 'login' email to ensure you only pay dues once.

Allow users to login with other identities, not just Facebook.
I don't use Facebook and I'd rather not create an entirely new identity when this is a solved problem. I should be able to login with Twitter (OAuth), Google, etc.

Provide control of the number of meetings displayed on the home page
I have scheduled multiple meetings and now five of them are
displaying on the home page. It would be nice to be able to set the number of meetings we want displayed on the home page and then have the rest of the upcoming meetings under the 'More Meetups' link.1 vote -
new updates
Thanks for the update email Greg. I appreciate the changes you've made and have in the works to change further! I'm specially looking forward to having pictures back for each meetup.

Narrow Down Option
Could you guys make a way to narrow down meetup groups results even further? I already chose my "interests" but I still get posts for things like 45 and older meetup groups which I do not care to see pop up and there are SO many groups to sift through. Is there a way to "X" it out and not see their events anymore so I can see ones that apply to me more once i'm logged in to my account? Thank you!

We support a couple of nonprofits and would like to add them to our page (but not as a sponsor)

STOP SPAM WITH PERKS!
I have "I want sponsors to contact me with Perks" and I list exactly what kind of Perks/Offers I want ( 1. Location; 2. Money) Meetup keep spamming me with discount offer perks. Stop doing it! If you implemented your stupid Perks offers either filter them as sponsorship offers or create a separate option to unsubscribe from Perks. Stop spamming organizers!

bring back My Groups tab at the top-makes easier to quickly visit our groups.
without it, i have to go to my profile page and scroll down to each diff. group to link to each page-adds a great deal of keystrokes to a previously simple task!

Offer the opportunity to RSVP "No" right from the user's homepage
At least offer the opportunity to RSVP "No" right from the user's homepage...
I can see the point of having to read the event details before RSVP'ing "Yes", so offer a "Yes" RSVP option also, but if a user clicks "yes", then take them to the details page...
But it is a pain to have to go to an event page to RSVP "No" for an event that I know I am not going to.
The end result: I hardly ever RSVP "No", and I bet a lot of others do the same... which leaves lots of unanswered RSVP's for…

Fix search using partial words
If I search for something specific like 'improv' within 10 miles of NYC, it brings back 475 meetup groups. This list includes groups that have nothing to do with improv, but contain key words like 'improve' or 'improvement'. Perhaps, there should be a exact or partial name search option to render a more efficient search.
thanks,

Let organizers see who votes on "polls."
Organizers use polls to organize events.

Please enable a feature to Merge Meetup groups
There are times when an organizer is running two (or more) Meetup groups that are similar in context/activities and it would be great to have the capability of merging them in order to make the task of organizing easier.
There are groups that some organizers take over that are similar to the one they're already running that have no organizer but a considerable amount of members.17 votes
