Allow option to collect money through 3rd party websites to allow regular merchant accounts
In addition to the option of Amazon,, Paypal and Offline, we'd like to option to enter a payment URL. We have our own merchant account and don't want to be forced to use a more expensive, third party billing solution.

Allow email updates ONLY for meetups you've responded to or when a new meetup is added.
I turned off email updates because I don't like constantly getting updates for meetups I didn't respond to. My group has a LOT of meetups so it's much easier to just respond to the ones I'm interested in. You should also automatically get an update if an email you signed up for is changed or cancelled, whether updates are on or not.

Allow all reviews to be seen before a user joins a group
Members only see a couple of select positive reviews before they join a group.
Be like eBay and other sites and allow all reviews to be shown so a user can make a balanced choice.
If a negative comment is unwaranted the organizer can respond.
There are many groups that need a legitimate warning on them.
Groups for Political or Religious/Atheist recruiting masquerading as something else.
Divorce support groups run by amateurs that cause more harm than good etc.

Don't show 'not going' rsvp's in latest activity
The prior format didn't show the No RSVP's and that kept a meetup appearing positively received. No's don't need to show on the Home page/latest activity.

If you insist on keeping MITM, at least make is separate tab, so that people can identify ideas!
As it stands now, it is almost impossilbe to differentiate meetups and meetups in the making. At least give it a separate page so that members can tell the difference between a bonefide meeting and an idea!

Please let us set (and show) the time zone for meetings
The new format for the event page makes the time show prominently, but it does not offer a timezone. Folks offering events near a timezone border (or permitting online attendance) can get easily confused.

You should make a mobile app so Meetup will send me a text when something on my groups is posted.
On quite a few of my groups there are limited spots for the activities. It would be great if I could get a message straight to my phone so I could act quickly to either accept or decline.

Allow organizers to revert official meetups back to "in the making".
When there are a few votes on a meetup, it becomes "official". If an organizer isn't prepared to make it official, allow the organizer to revert it back to "in the making" with an explanation if necessary.

provide us with a way to contact you. It took a mighty long time to find this particular option.
I think it's not acceptable that we can't easily get in touch with Meetup direct.

Pictures of members who have RSVP'd.
(As of March, 2011) Please make members pictures large enough so we can see them on each event/RSVP page, without having to click on each photo. It's very useful to know who you're looking for when attending many meetups, particularly if you don't know them. The current layout makes the pics too small and a bit distorted. There's plenty of room on the pages.

Allow ability to announce a drafted meetup
If I save my meetup as a draft, it never gives me the chance to "announce" it to the group, only send an "update" when I complete the draft later. This is a serious flaw and makes us look very unprofessional.

Enlarge & Underline the "More Meetups" link under the listing of meetups on home page.
Make the "More Meetups" link much bigger under the listing of meetups on the home page, and perhaps change it to read "Click here to see more meetups" or just Underline it + Enlarge it. Members do not realize this is a link, they think it's a headline or something, I can clearly see members are not even clicking on that link because most don't RSVP for events until they're showing up on the home page (a meetup at the top has passed etc.)

Re-establish the ability to post an image to promote a Meetup
The new Google map is a nice feature, however it's in the wrong place as maps do not "sell" or entice Members to sign up for an event. Allow images/pictures to be posted to help promote Meetups. When viewing "Upcoming Meetups", having pictures/images related to the Meetups posted will make the entire page more interesting and appealing. The Google map would be more functional if located to the "Where is it?" section of the Meetup invite page.

Be able to continue from last event viewed, instead of scrolling through previous viewed events
Be able to return back to the same place after reviewing an event. Some groups have 25+ events on the calendar. Instead of being returned back to the front page after reviewing, or RSVPing to a specifice event, we should be able to continue on from the last viewed event, or you should put page numbers at bottom of events page so that we can bypass all of the events that have already been viewed.
