I would like for you to add the Central Coast of New South Wales (Postcode 2250) into your listing.
It would be great for people outside of Sydney, on the Central Coast to be able to meet up with other people in our local area. It is too far for a lot of people to travel to Sydney to access groups.

I do not like your latest update. I thought you had the site pretty nice but thelast update blows!

More control over member scheduled events being promoted
I love the idea that my members can take a more active role in planning events. However, I see a big problem in that the default settings could make an event 'official' once three people sign up, even though there isn't enough information for this event to happen. I know I can turn off the automatic promote to a scheduled event after 3 signups, but I really like that feature. I just would like it if that made sure that the event was ready to be promoted.
For starters, I don't think it should promote an event unless a location…

stop emailing everyone for location suggestions on meetups that don't have a location selected
Recently, I saw an email go out to everyone asking for their help with helping me select a new location for an event. I was planning on changing locations and had removed the old one. I was not prepared to add the new location on the same day. There is no need for members to get spammed with unnecessary email, especially when the location was going to be added the next day.

Create a way members can track activity. Impossible when we members of multiple groups!
Impossible to keep track of where we posted a comment, opened a discussion, messaged a member. We need a threaded timeline/log of our activity or something along those lines. An internal inbox/mailbox would be nice too.

List the event hosts on a meetup and not the organizer that scheduled it
In larger groups the organizer that schedules a meetup may not be the one hosting, so listing the organizer that scheduled a meetup on the groups main page doesn't seem to make sense. The Event host(s) should be listed on the meetup - who the organizer that scheduled the meetup doesn't give meetup users any useful information as that organizer may have only created the meetup for the Event Hosts to populate with information.

Create a method to report errors quickly.
Trying to remove a sponsor I have been receiving the following error for the past three days. You need a method of reporting system problems so they can be fixed in a timely manner.
Our server wasn't able to process your request.
This may be a temporary problem due to an upgrade, so please try again in a few minutes.

Require Real Photo and Name to Launch Group
I am bothered that groups where the organizer does not display a photo of their face, such as a cat, and uses a nickname. Yes, obviously a person can post a false photo/name but that quickly comes out after the first meetup where the organizer is present and I'm sure that person doesn't really want to do that else, I would like to think, Meetup.com, would ban them for life.
I understand the issue of perhaps not wanting to mix private and public life but the safety of the group trumps that... always.

fix the "read more about us" so that it displays correctly. And a permalink URL.
The "read more about us" is displayed in a popup window. In the popup window it does not recognize all HTML, so unordered lists and other formatting and all jumbled into one mass of text. Really sloppy and makes my group look stupid. I want prospective members to see what we are about before joining but the copy they get now is ruined by Meetup.

Prevent members from sending messages until attending a certain number of meetups
I do not want to close of member communications but it would be nice to require them to attend a certain number of meetups before being allowed to contact the group. This would cut down on SPAM.

bring back the IDEAS for members to suggest MeetUps and remove the ability for anyone to add MeetUps
It is NOT good to have anyone post MeetUps and I changes the choice to "Only Organizers can Post" but it reverts back - it doesn't work!!!!

provide legal guidance on the use of photos from events.
Does the agreement to join a group mean that our photos can be taken by a stranger - stored on HIS computer; posted anywhere; shared with anyone; who he feels fit.? Who is the photographer? What is his background? How will my photo be used; where posted; disposed of afterwards. But, the only way to opt out of his photos is to ask him directly not to take our photo. To which he responds with an impromtu investigation. It should be the other way around (in fact there is case law supporting this)...he should be asking us for permission to…

Eliminate national/international webinars that create groups in towns as if they are local.
people are getting scammed into purchasing online seminars. Not cool.

For "meetups in the making" change language from "I'm going" to "I'm interested".
With respect to "meetups in the making" (the old "IDEAS"), I'm bothered by the statement "I'm going" and "Can't go" when really, this needs to be a place to assess interest in suggested events. When a meetup is in the planning phase, it's not reasonable to ask people to commit to going (especially when often no date or location is determined yet) but, as an Organizer, I do want to get a sense of general interest. Please change the language to reflect the assessment nature of "Meetups in the Making".

Bring back the posting in the home page. I use to welcome new members and now I can't.
Continuing with your arbitrary changes, one of those left it out, were the ability to post message (reserved for organizers) in the homepage. This was particularly useful to quick communicate with members and welcome the new ones.

Bring back"post to group" & put it where you can see it.Not at the bottom of the page.
I used to post to my group all the time and got LOTS of feed back.Today I posted a discussion instead,it's so far down on the page , no one knows it's there. So I am going to re post on FB
