providing a place to post slides for a meetup presentation before or after the event
provide a place to post slide presentation materials before or after an event local to the event page (not files for the group). this will allow presentation information to be easily found when clicking on a specific meetup date.

Provide the ability to add a META for google-site-verification
Even though I have my own custom domain name, I'm competing with the links provided by meetup.com. This is because meetup.com only redirects the root page, not the other event pages. This also makes it look like I'm spamming google. I could straighten out this ambiguity if I could add the META tag for google-site-verification (verifying the ownership of meetup.com/group/ through Webmaster Central, and prioritizing my own custom domain).

reminder e-mails about dues
It would be great to have a setting that e-mails members every year (or month) to pay their dues.

Mobile App: Pushpin Notifications for new events scheduled
Upgrade mobile app to add pushpin notifications when a new event is scheduled and let me *select* which groups to activate this for that way I can grab a spot.

Create a two-tier membership level like the leadership's multi level.
Hi! we have a need for membership levels within our group. We are a brick and mortar social activities club that is trying to spread the word about us on Meeetup. So we've created a meetup group that 'invites' meetup people to attend our "brick and mortar" clubs events as guests. It is restricted to those events that we allow guests to attend.
We would like to take the meetup / our club synergy to the next level by allowing our Brick and mortar members to join the group for communication purposes.
But we need to restrict viewing and access…8 votes -

Enlarge Members Pictures on the Events
Members pictures are too small to recognize on the events. Meetup is all about its members so enlarge the pictures at least back to the size they were before the latest format change.

Go back to the original version.
I am closing my group because I do not like dealing with the new format. And just because someone suggests a meetup doesn't mean meetup should put them as going if it decided to make it a meetup simply because a few others liked the idea. I will now use FB to organize gatherings. It is easy to use and free. If I'm going to pay for a site, it should be easy to use.

Create a way to force members to read the About Page in its entirety before being able to join
I get dozens of emails each week making suggestions or asking questions about things that are already clearly covered in the About Page, Welcome Letter, and Event Details. Such as "why don't you go to this theater" (which is significantly outside our geographic area), "how about this idea" (which is completely unrelated to our group's mission), "how do we buy tickets", "where are you going", "what time", "what are you seeing", etc.
I waste so much time answering these emails when all the info is already out there.
Suggestion: how about implementing a feature that forces people to read the…

On the Google map, please zoom out on the default map so you can see where the meetup is
If you have to have a map on the meetup page, can you at least zoom it out so it's easy to see where it's pointing to? Right now you can see only the very proximal region around the meetup and it's never enough to understand where the meetup is without clicking into the map. There must be some optimal distance you can zoom to where you can see where it is in relation to a major highway, for instance, or where in a region of towns it is. Meetups aren't always in areas people know, so zooming out to…

Make it so organizers get auto-notifications when events created - So we know the invite has worked!
When I create an event, I never know "for sure" if the invitation went out successfully to Meetup members or what it looked like in the email message members receive. By default I'd also like to receive the invitation -- so that I know it went out successfully to members and so that I can see how it looks!

provide a way for members of a particular meetup group to help pay for the costs so I person doesn't
The organizer of the meetup pays for the meetup and if they cannot afford to pay this cost, they are then saddled with the additional responsibility of getting the group to help. I think meetup should help the group support the payment of the meetup site by allowing members to contribute to the group that way it makes it easier on the meetup leaders and more likely that meetup groups will continue.

Stop sending our 'Reminder' emails about 'Meetups in the Making' - they are NOT Official events
As I have no control over if and when Reminder Emails are sent out I don't know who got a recent reminder mail about one of my 'Events in the making' (another of your rediculous changes - bring back 'Ideas'). These ARE NOT OFFICIAL events and should NOT be publicised until they are Announced.

If you are going to have maps, bring back the old maps
You just switched over to new Google Maps. There are two problems with these maps:
1. The pointer symbol that is supposed to show the exact street location is now a shapeless blob that no longer points to the exact spot where the meetup is.
2. There are far fewer street names in the new Google Maps view.
The old Google Maps showed the exact spot where the meetup would be held, with an exact pointer. And all the street names were listed. People saw exactly where they were meeting. Now they do not.
