FIX THE GODDAMN EMAIL EDITOR!!!! We've waited enough!
It's been MONTHS now that you guys have royally botched the email editor and the issues are STILL NOT fixed.. If I'm angry, it's because ONCE AGAIN, your Email editor ATE/DESTROYED TWO hours of work at 4am just when I was ready to press SEND.. Enough of the BS perks and BS GONNA GO/NOT GONNA GO (treating people like they can't comprehend what RSVP mean.).. You "fixed" things that didn't need to be fixed and Screwed up things that worked.. I will start looking for an alternative to Meetup as this is beyond BS..

PLEASE remove the "Count me in because" phrase & comment area for Yes RSVPs....
For heaven's sake WHY are users asked to say why they ARE coming to a meetup!? It's a playdate (so they want to play). It's a walk meetup (so they want to walk)...It's not rocket science. If they have a comment, that's what the comment section is for! Please remove this goofy "Count me in because..." phrase and comment area!

Notify folks up front about meet-up group monthly dues before they fill everything out.
I agree to the dues and see the obvious need to fund the website effort. It felt a little shifty to have filled out all the information only to have a credit card screen pop up. I don't have my debit card with me and there is no way to save the config and finish it later.

Meetup "Exchange Program"
My idea is for a Meetup "Exchange Program "between Meetup groups in different areas. For example, I belong to a Photography Meetup group in San Diego. Every once in awhile they organize photo excursions to Los Angeles (i.e. The Getty Museum). It would nice to have an option for Organizers of different groups to contact each other and set up a joint Meetup so they could each share the best of their cities with the other group. I mean who knows Los Angeles better than an Angelino and vice versa. A couple times a year, they could travel to the…

Add watch a meetup followed by a reminder closer to the meetup
What's sadly needed is the ability to add a new meetup to your own watch list. Closer to the meetup a reminder is sent to you.
At present it's yes or no then you forget about that meetup.
As a regular organiser I know that many people are waiting so see if people join the meetup before adding their name.

Allow members to change their main photo in all their groups at once
I have uploaded a new photo and made it the main one in my profile. How about letting me make it the main one in all of my groups with one click rather than having to go into each group individually?

Allow members to choose calendar or list for the group home page
Some groups/people function better with calendar and some with a list. Either the organizer should be able to choose which is on the home page or the members should be able to choose what they see.

Bring back the "IDEAS" instead of "Meetups in the making"
I don't like that any and all of members' suggestions show up on the calendar immediately. I MUCH prefer the old format where ideas/suggestions remained off the calendar until the Organizer/s decided to MAKE them into an event!!

FIX ALL THE GOOGLE MAPS! All the locations in the 'New Meetup' are all now WRONG
All the locations of our NH Meetups that WORKED BEFORE ARE NOW WRONG! Great enhancement. Now new members are LOST trying to get to old locations. Just gets worse and worse here.

Make "No-Shows" Visible to Everyone, not just Organizers
Currently, a member's no-shows are visible only to Organizers and Assistant Organizers. I strongly believe that if everyone could see a person's no-shows it would make them more accountable. People would no-show much less often if they knew everyone could see their no-show record. No-shows should be visible at the very least on the event page that the person no-showed for, if not on the person's actual profile.

Option to disable news feed
It would be nice to disable the news feed completely. Since most of the stuff posted is by people, I dont know, removing them, gives me more space to see the events.

Allow an organizer to toggle between the detailed meetup list and an abbreviated "list view."
When we have 30+ upcoming events, it's very tedious to scroll down, and page down the main list to reference, make edits or copy an event.
Could we please have a "list view" the way that most calendar software does? Can you give us a page view where we can see our list of upcoming, and past, meetups in a simple line by line format list that just uses the event title?

Require a date for suggested meetups
I would like to require dates for event suggestions? The problem is if if a suggested meetup doesn't have a date then it never goes away...

PLEASE Improve Our Sponsor & Member Tools
* We wish to choose who and what to highlight, when and for how long, please. Thank you!
* We wish to feature and highlight members, not simply sponsors nor vendors, please.
* We wish to feature our charity partners, non-profits and not simply sponsors, please.
We would sincerely appreciate better tools to do these things which we already do. Any help is sincerely appreciated. Thank you!!
As Meetup builds Sponsorship capability and Events tools, please design in the ability AND TOOLS to do similar things for non-sponsors, non-profit partners and simply persons. (Also note, sponsors are not necessarily vendors.)0 votes
