I would be in favour of a Like button only. I would not wish to put people off posting photos of events for fear of their photographic skills being questioned.

Yes please to a like button! I am in walking groups and photography groups and members in both have commented that they would like a 'like' button to show appreciation.

i agree, i am on several photography sites and it would be nice to be able to show my support on photos instead of having to write comments.

This would be great to see how many people actually look at the photos.

I run an active photography group, and we regularly have little in-house photo competitions. A like button or an image voting feature would make life much easier. A like button is certainly overdue on Meetup.

I am an organizer for a photography meetup group and would like to have an option to have our members "vote" or "like" photos in an album. We have monthly photo studies where the organizers end up choosing the winner each month. However, we would like the members to be able to do this as well.

I agree with the below statement. If anything we should be able to report or thumbs down pictures only if you can't see the persons face. I have seen pictures and the person is intentionally looking the other way, have huge glasses and a hat on or there whole body is the size of a rice and I can't make out any features. I find that after a meetup I go to confirm people I met and I can't tell who the little rice person is or if they even showed up. I can tell a thing.

Stop and think about this. Voting thumbs up and down on photos of people might seem like harmless fun to you. However for some people seeing your negative votes on their photo can be very devastating. As such thumb down votes can be very cruel and not fun at all for anyone except for people who delight in being cruel. Why run the risk of intentionally pushing a possibly fragile personality over the edge. As such this can be viewed a form of cyber bullying. To minimize possible legal liabilities all members must have the ability to allow or forbid such voting on each of their photos with not allowing as the default option."

We need this even google plus which is new has a +1 button - PLEASE make this happen it is difficult for me to moderate a photo club and have to comment on each good photo!

I think a Thumbs up or Like is good - However I do not think a Thumbs down is necessary, if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all! Keep the Energy good! I am hoping this gets approved, because I manage 3 Photo Groups and cannot always have a original comment about all members photos they post!

No thank you. I see enough of Facebook on the rest of the internet.

Thumbs down. How about some original ideas instead of copying facebook ad nauseum?

Yes - very good for running competitions which motivates people. I think a dislike button is ok too, if people don't like it, they don't like it and others support it if they want to.
