Allow Organizers to pay meetup fee with a paypal account.
Unless I missed something when I renewed... collect dues to help run the site via paypal yet I can't use the same paypal account to pay for the six-month subscription:-(

I collect dues via PayPal, so it would be ideal to pay fees via PayPal. I hope this gets implemented-- it only makes sense, and makes things alot simpler!

It makes an incredible amount of sense to do this. I collect membership dues from the members of my club via Paypal, the money is sitting there to pay the Organizer dues with. Having to pay by personal credit/debit card then get the money back from Paypal makes not sense at all. Please implement this ASAP

I informally run a university alumni group and I'd like to formalize the group by moving it to Meetup.com. However, I don't want to pay dues out out of my personal bank account. The group has a paypal account from which to draw funds. Why not let us pay through this paypal account?
This will ensure continuity through the years, too, as I pass the torch to future club leaders.

Paypal gives the option to make withdrawals via a Paypal-issued debit card which is connected to your Paypal account. So you can continue to collect member dues via Paypal and then use the Paypal card as the credit/debit card that renews your Meetup organizer payments.

We want to have pay pal because we do not own, want or use credit nor debit cards. We use money orders, check, cash and Paypal. To not accept Pay Pal is a very poor business decision. Because you don't take it we cannot pay your fees and will move on to another option thanks for nothing.

Also note that some EU countries don't use credit cards all that much, debit cards are the de-facto standard. Most people are not willing to pay the premium for credit cards, but paypal can connect to many EU banks without any hassle.

I truly think paypal should always be on ever payment option, much safer then always having to use your credit card.

I've renew my meet up group through the PayPal payment, but it seems that only 1 of the 3 foreseen pages appeared to be renewed. 2 further ones have still apparently 6 days of life lasting!!!
Here are the 3 pages:
http://www.meetup.com/Beppe-Grillo-Provincia-di-Parma-M5S/
http://www.meetup.com/Beppe-Grillo-Movimento-5-Stelle-tra-le-Terre-Verdiane/
http://www.meetup.com/Segreteria-Provinciale-Archivio/
Please help me !!

Using PayPal would be a business smart decision. As mentioned before in other comments, we collect dues from our members in PayPal to pay for Organizer fees. It is simply logical to have a system in place where we can then pay those fees directly from our PayPal account where that money resides. This should be a priority for MeetUp to put in place.

I agree on this one! I have a Paypal Smart card that I mainly do all my online transactions with. This will make it easier for me since the money for the group for groups fees are there. Then I will not have to move the funding through one account to another.

It does become a burden for the Organizer to try to collect dues and then reimburse themselves via paypal. I also think that members should have to pay to join.

This would sure be nice. You almost encourage us to take Paypal as payments, but you will not allow us to use Paypal to pay you. As it is I have to draw money out to then pay off the Credit Card you ding of mine!.
Thanks if you are listening. -
