Not send me a Meetup Message Board Update email about my own post.
Every time I post on the message boards I get an e-mail telling me a new post has been made. And every time I think someone has responded quickly, only to find it was my own post.

Agreed. I get enough email as it is; i've had to set multiple Gmail filter rules to delete Meetup emails. Not saying I don't love the service, but this specific 'feature' is incredibly easy to implement from a coder's standpoint, and/or could be made optional in your profile.

Suggestions to Mark: get used to the mail (or set up a mail filter to archive/mark read/ignore it if it contains your name in as the poster, if you can and if the mail contains that info - I dont remember).
I like having email records of the posts I've done, sometimes I use that as another way to track them or search back to them more easily in longer threads.
