Allow Use of Multiple Paypal Accounts
It would be great if AOs/EOs/EHs were able to collect payments for the events they organize using their own Paypal accounts instead of having all money go through the Organizer's Paypal account.

securitymeetup.com desperately needs this. We already have 4 instructors and managing payments for these events on meetup has become such a chore that we're thinking about just dropping it and going with EventBrite =/. We don't want to, but desperate times calls for desperate measures. Dionne opened this issue in 2010 and its now 3 years later =/.

Hi Everyone. As an EO in in the Largest Meetup group in Australia with over 2600 members I ask that this be expedited. Quite often various organisers want to do prepaid events, however, choose not to because collecting money off members is going to be to hard. Please put those of us in the picture as to what the issues are around this? Thanks in advance for any answers given.

I think the story is they don't want to do it, can't do it or aren't willing to .... that or they just don't want to update us on this issue. It really can't be that hard.

This would make the Head Organizer and the AO/EO/EH's life so so much easier, and would not require all the additional manual tracking of who owes who money.
PLEASE PLEASE add this feature/option. I think, today, many AO/EO/EH's do not plan events that require a payment because of the lack of this feature/option.

Yes, it's a good idea. The lead organizer doesn't trust PayPal but as a co-organizer I would use it.

This has been "under review" since Jan 26, 2012. By the 1 year anniversary I'm expecting either a Yes or a No.

Yes I agree with Gerard below. Any update? Last notice was on 1/26/12 that it was being reviewed. What is the status of this?

Yes please please please fix this! I've been wanting it for a few years! Simply let us choose a paypal account when we post an event.

I'm wondering what the outcome of the ticketing functionality review was? :)
Allowing a separate papypal email address for each meetup would be VERY helpful.
Thanks,
Gerard :) -

This is a great idea! It would save assistant or event organisers paying PayPal fees twice if the payment goes through the organisers PayPal account first.

It would be nice if events would use the default payment type(s) such as the organizer's PayPal account, but on an event by event basis, another PayPal account could be set.
Also, it would be nice if we could give attendees a choice on how to pay (i.e. they can choose PayPal or Amazon Payments).

This really needs to move from the review process to implementation. As an Co-Org, AO, & EO it's like pulling teeth to collect payment in a timely manner. While as the owner of a group all you have to do click "yes you're charging for this meetup" and when a person clicks to RSVP they are made to pay at that time. This feature would make my event planning life as well as others a whole lot easier. Please try and make this go faster!!

Please look into this feature. I am an assistant organizer and I can't tell you what a PAIN IN THE you know what it is for me to have to individually collect money from everyone BEFORE an event. Example. I often host baseball games and catered tailgate party's. I have had 40 people sign up for this event and sit together as a Meet Up Group = $600 in baseball tickets...Need I say more???
