Do not allow members to unsubscribe/deselect Organizer announcements
I understand that meetup can mean e-mail overload, but members should not be able to block something the organizers send to the entire group--it's usually something important . . . unlike the 7th event reminder, for example.

Yes, I have members who have opted out of getting my occasional announcements, but there's no way to tell who they are. Meanwhile, when members repeatedly no-show I like to write them to ask them why, most of my members are very considerate, and let them know that they need to change their rsvp so people on the waitlist can come. I ask them to respond and when they don't I can't tell if they are just not getting my email because they've opted out, or they are just not responding by choice. Then they do it again. I can't tell if they just don't realize because they're not getting my email, or they just don't care and need to be removed from the membership. If I could see who had opted out then at least I'd know what was going on. I see no point in keeping a member I cannot communicate, but they are allowed to repeatedly reserve a spot at the meetup and then not use it and keep others on the waitlist from being able to come.
