Allow members to respond in the RSVP box when signing up for an event. It is much easier to see then all posts at the bottom. I am doind a snowshoe event and now all members who need to rent don't have it by their names it's where you post questions. So now if they RSVP no I will have to keep checking up and down from members going and back to the posts.......ERRRRRR

This is similar to the "If the RSVP comments are being posted to the conversation stream, at least only post the YES comments." Suggestion earlier, hopefully meetup will combine the sentiments. When someone RSVP's no they are very very unlikely to comment anything useful or relevant and should be kept off the main stream.

I agree RSVP comments should be separate. These comments could include pot luck item or whether they will be joining the group at a restaurant after the event which is useful for a reservation. If the person happens to cancel their RSVP their comments would then disappear. Otherwise it is impossible to filter out of the events comments.

The comment section is a great way to have conversations before & after an event, however, the rsvp comments should stay with the rsvp to allow for better flow of our meetup's conversation.

The whole point of the RSVP box was to add a short comment about your attendence at the meetup that was not intended to receive any response from anyone else. If someone wanted to start a conversion then they already had that ability by adding a note. Deleting this useful feature is NOT helpful and makes conversations HARDER.
