Levels of membership
Is it possible to assign different membership levels?
What I want to do is offer meet ups firstly to those members who have attended 5 meet ups or more. Then, if there are any places left, offer them to the rest of the group.

And we should be able to set the paid membership levels to be either monthly or annual subscriptions or a once off fee (e.g. if we set up a 12 month or 3 month program, just charge the fee for that which includes access to all events offered at that level)
And I guess we need to be able to set conditions e.g. terms/policies around refunds.

Also with the different groups we could email/message them differently

Another way to use this would be to distinguish the core group (people who turn up regularly) from the casual visitors who drop by to see. Then by marking the core group as VIPs (or whatever) you can pay more attention to them and organise special events for them.
Also we could organise public open-to-all events and premium level paid events and have a premium class of member who are invited to these paid events. Ideally meetup could set it up so only premium members see the premium event invites.
And when the organiser chooses to make a premium event open to the public, it would be great to upgrade them automatically to VIP level.
Just to complicate things further, it would be good to have a third category of membership, a VIP level with recurring monthly membership dues (whether it's $5/month or $97/month)

useful standard to differentiate between levels would be something like, member who attended at least one event within last 3 months.

A much needed item, with the standards set by the Event Organizer.

Levels of Membership would be fair to the "Core Members" of any meetup group. After all, it is our core members who keep us going!

I support this idea. I would like members who have a good attendance record to receive priority over members who consistently RSVP yes and then change their RSVP at the last minute or don't show up.

I would like to be able to sort members into at least two groups... paid and unpaid... we do meetups for both types of members and it is kind of a pain to have to always filter through the list and manually contact and exclude non-paid members from paid meetups.
