You have Thumbs up/down facilty on events comments...Add this facilty on discussion comments too, to 'reward' posts.
Currently people usually only get replies to discussion posts if others disagree, but no feedback where people agree. This can be demoralising and doesn't encourage people to post. A thumbs up /down would be a quick and easy way to show agreement, without having to post the boring 'yes I agree", and this gives 'reward' for good postings.

It would also make the conversation more fluid. As things stand you end up with 5 posts taking up a whole page all saying "nice one".
