If I invite half a dozen friends to my home for a private dinner, it's important for me to know the "no's." But if I post a public Meetup event for hundreds of strangers, the "no's" are totally irrelevant and a total waste and distraction dinging "you've got mail." PLEASE, empower me to choose whether or not I want people to be able to RSVP if only to say "no."
