E-mail members who have joined recently
In the E-mail Members, create a radio button for Members who have joined in the past 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, and 3 months. It would also be great to have another radio button to E-mail pending members only.

Wonderful idea. I would love this. If Meetup seriously wants more "activity" this would be a way for groups to actually get people "active" without shoving commetns and other groups at them all the time. Hope they will implement this thanks

Yes, I agree. A button to send a welcome to new members who have recently joined. Not just one at a time. We're starting to get lots of new members on a weekly basis lately.

I find custom lists difficult and cumbersome to use, especially when I organize a group for over 900 people and there are many members with the same displayed name. I don't have time to spend creating a custom list. I would like the ability to filter members and create a list based on a filter.
Also, YES! I would like to be able to email all members who joined in the past 1 month (or 2 months or 3 months) who have not yet RSVP'd for an event, or who have joined in the last 1/2/3 months and have attended their first event. Being able to email members who have attended their first event in the last 30 days would be helpful.
Meetup is all about connection with other people, and I find the current email offerings do not meet my needs as an organizer who wants to foster that connection and draw people into the meetup. Most people delete that auto-generated message that comes immediately upon joining a new group. It would be helpful to be able to contact members who have joined recently and have not yet RSVP'd to encourage them to "give us a try".

There definitely need to be more options for organizers to email freshly joined members. In fact, I would go a step further and enable organizers to set up an personalizable auto-responder that will generate a welcome message as soon as someone joins. I know Meetup does that kind of thing, but I think more organizer-generated communications vs Meetup corp generated messages would be better.

I want this feature so bad. I would extend it further to allow me an Organizer to create a generic welcome message that links to at least 3 upcoming meetups for everyone who enters the group. Ideally this would be sent as soon as the new member joins.

If the Meetup coders can't add this feature, I would settle for an API Method that allowed me to add members to a custom list. It appears the current API methods are read only and do not extend to the custom lists found in the "Email members" form.
