Don't shorten the event description in the announcement email!
Its annoying that now the full event description is not displayed in the announcement email. That means members must click to read the whole thing. It's hard enough grabbing the attention of members. This just makes it harder.

Why isn't this under review? The email announcement is really in a bad state and desperately needs some attention.

This is about letting Organizers have more ability to decide how to best run our groups. We really need a longer spot for describing our event. 2.5 sentences is NOT enough. Please fix it!!!

I agree, the shortened version is not the best version as people are too busy to click over for more details and we lose their attention because they're not seeing all the info. Also, when it comes to reviewing details for later use (like right before the event) it is easier for them to access the saved email instead of going to the meetup site. Ease-of-use for the members is important to keeping their interest and support.

Members signed up to a professionally hosted Scavenger Hunt but did not read the description where it states that they must buy their ticket on another website. Over 10 people are now upset WITH ME that the event is sold out and they didn't read. Please send the FULL descript in email blast OR revert back to how it was. Thanks!

Members signed up to a BYOK - bring your own Kayak event but didn't bring kayak. They assumed that they would be provided because they didn't read the description. Bring back the old announcement emails, please!
