venue search
We have almost 400 venues on our Venue list (yes 20 pages of venues). It is super difficult to look up a venue because there is no easy way to navigate through the venues except to randomly pick a page then hunt and peck. A search would be easiest, like the member name search pops up the matching members in a little subwindow you can pick from.... we post over 100 events a month and one way to easily post similar events is to look up the venue and see what events were posted there, this search would really help speed up our processes. THANKS!

Please alphabetize the venues list and let us just be able to click on the letter to access past venues. I have 20 pages of venues and it is highly frustrating trying to guess what page a venue will be on.

And now you cant even pick the numbers you have to go all the way back thru the calender month by month. Man this really sucks but itis still a little better than starting all over

I think it would make sense to do all of the above, but also have venues listed in neighborhoods so that is the first place we can go to look for a venue to meet that is close for everyone or at least centrally located.
And Adding a venue of our own is VERY necessary.

List venues alphabetically, please...

Yes! We need a search option that would allow us to search our group's site.

Please return your location software to the old system. Your database might be fine for the USA but here in Australia it is less than useless. I am unable to schedule Meetups because your database can't find the location. We are a bushwalking group so the addresses aren't in local street directory. Please fix this quickly. If I can't schedule meetups the group will fold and you will lose revenue.

Why can't we return to the 'alphabet search' that was there previously? Why do the 'heads' of meetup feel the need to make changes to things that were already working nicely?

Not sure if this has been fixed based on comments. But as of today, you can simply type in the name of a venue and if it's been used before (my past ones were found), it shows up in a drop down list. If it's a new place, I put in the info and it saved it upon confirming the scheduled Meetup.

Return to the old venue selection method. The new method is not an improvement.

The old venue system was easy to use. Current system is cumbersome and so confusing I can't really navigate. Choices when we are planning should be Your Venues, Find a Venue, Add a Venue. PLEASE CHANGE THE WAY THE NEW ONE HAS BEEN REDESIGNED. It is NOT user friendly at all and is significantly more frustrating than the previous meetup.com design.

The venue functionality does not work! Hard to search previous venues, but more importantly, I cannot add the name and address of a new restaurant. Each attempt results in a default to a name and address that has NOTHING to do with the new venue! We had to pass on having an event because we could not post the location! How is this working for you??? It ISN'T for your members!!!

I agree 100%, this has bothered me for months since I frequently use the same venues, but have had over 125 events in less than 2 years. A search would be great.

Have you tried typing in the name of the place in "Find A Place?" When I start typing a location name, a list of places pop up, with "Places you've used" on top and the "other places" below that.
I do agree that it would be nice to have that old option back, where you can click on a letter and a list comes up.

I cannot add a new location to an event AT ALL! I can only choose from last 6 recent locations which is crazy. If I try to manually input an address, the event won't save. WTF?
Please fix this immediately as I can't organise a single event as things stand.

Please just bring back the old way to putting in locations. It's also very difficult to save any new location anywhere!

Another great bit of functionality removed in what seems to be in favor of making the site "prettier". I have dozens of locations and now cannot easily sort through them in creating an event. The list is in no sensible order, no ability to quickly jump to a location by first letter of the name and some of my saved locations do not even appear as options no matter how many times I've used them. How is this an improvement?
