Why meetup continues to make these ridiculous changes without better testing first is infuriating. If this were a free service I wouldn't be so angry at meetup with every stupid change they make, but because I pay $144/yr, I expect more reaction & having to come to this off-site place to vote is RIDICULOUS.

Plus the comments on the side ARE newest at the top. It would be nice if we could choose to have everything consistent.

On the mobile app it IS newest at the top. Make it optional for the group, that way the organizers can decide.

It's interesting that the user voice is 50/50 on this... when, if you look at the "industry standard" (usual and custumary for most web sites) it is about 90% more common to have the newest comments first, then older as you go down the page. In fact, I think this IS now the way my meetup page runs. (?) So jsut goes to show how confusing a simple idea like this can be for peopel to grasp when they are not actually using it, just thinking about it. thank you meetup!

We like to read posts from start to finish, not reverse order.

If this goes, please make is optional. We prefer reading from start to finish, not reverse order.

This sounds nice in theory, but make it optional because we like to keep our posts sequential.

Why would anyone want to see oldest activity first. This has become a peeve of mine on my own groups and others. PLEASE, there's no logic in showing old, irrelevant comments first. Some meetups get rescheduled with lots of inane questions back and forth that are showing first (I know you can delete them but some organizers are not tending to this detail) NEWEST TO OLDEST EVERYWHERE. Thank you.

It always used to be like this, why did you change for the diabolical 'New meetup'? And seeing as though you insist on wasting precious event space on the front page with comments, then the newest should always be at the top!

Well, the newest is first on this site for some reason. It must be a good idea here.

Still strolling through tons of old comments to see the latest posting. Still waiting for common sense to prevail. :)

Newest 1st - a push down stack is easier to read and use. People want to see the latest info first.

or at least give us the option (ORDER BY "timestamp" [ASC/DESC])

very very very poorly run company . no common sense and no real concern for paying customer.

Yes, reverse the comment order from newest to oldest under events and message board threads.
