Let organizers (and maybe all members) be able to jump to any month in the future/past.
It is difficult to go back month by month by month to get to a yearly event to see the details of the meetup. It is the same problem with wanting to add notes in a future month. It would be much easier if we could simply select the month and year and be taken directly to that page.

Create Senior Member Badges
Have members who paid for membership fee receive a "special icon" near or on their forum name. We can even break members into tiers. Give members who donated a certain amount of money to have a star or diamond member badge next to their names, and have sponsors to have a sponsorship icon or badge.

Have a single button that will turn off all e-mail from all groups while the person is on vacation.
I'd like to see a single button on the front page that will temporarily shut down all Meet-up e-mail while I am on vacation so my inbox is not a cluttered mess when I return. The button could be unclicked to restore my setting when I return home.

Drop Late Cancels Into 'No Show' Status Automatically
I saw a lot of topics about allowing for summary reports for late cancels. But those would only be available to head organizers who run the meetup. The feature I'm proposing would be automatic and instant.
I think there could be a time frame set (e.g. 2 hours before a meetup), and if someone cancels within that time frame, they are automatically bounced to No Show. Then when the event host/organizer reviews the event later, they will know who cancelled last minute. After they've dealt with those names, they can start marking their actual No Shows (i.e. who were still…30 votes -

Allow members to prepay - and apply credits toward events
Some of our members are unable or unwilling to use PayPal or Amazon Payments. On the door payments are an incredible hassle for the organizers so we charge more. Further we then have to reconcile the fees.
It would be nice if a member could give us a cheque to cover multiple month's worth of events, such that we could apply the credit to their event account, and meetup would debit this balance every time they attend.

Allow us to choose different background colors for the events posted on the calendar.
I would like to be able to set up events and have them be color coded for members. We have different age grouped activities, so for instance, have it be a green background for 0-1 age activities - purple for 2-3, red for all member - etc.

Don't shorten the event description in the announcement email!
Its annoying that now the full event description is not displayed in the announcement email. That means members must click to read the whole thing. It's hard enough grabbing the attention of members. This just makes it harder.

Better membership and fee management options
There are several other uservoice ideas/suggestions with similar requests but I'd like to outline things in detail with a few twists
1) Ability to set up a auto-reminder email to members (ability to set frequency at 1,3,6, 12 months depending on the membership due structure)
Auto-renew feature would be nice but I realize that if people change their credit card / paypal account is not-funded etc, then there would be declined transactions or chargebacks from members which means more work for meetup.com HQ. Auto-reminder email won't require additional finance management from meetup.com HQ.
2) Ability to control who can RSVP…

Levels of membership
Is it possible to assign different membership levels?
What I want to do is offer meet ups firstly to those members who have attended 5 meet ups or more. Then, if there are any places left, offer them to the rest of the group.28 votes -

Add a note field on pending members page
We don't auto-allow our members in; we must meet them first. We send an email & will often play email tag. Since more than one organizer communicates with pending members, it would be nice be able to leave a note on the pending members page stating the last correspondance we had with them.

Enable export attendee list
Need to export the attendee list to a spreadsheet. Would be great to have the ability to require first/last name (in addition to twtiter and linkedIn info if provided when joined)
Only for organizers - needed for corporate security of site hosting the event.

Address book
Each meetup group should have it's own address book. So, in your profile you can add your information that you wish to share. You can mark it "Private or Public" for in your profile, then when you join a group, you can check off, "Add to address book of this group only" That way it makes it easier for people to call you, mail you a birthday card etc.
We are in a "Private" women's group. Since it's private, we can share anything without exposing it to onlookers.

Attach files to meetups
Allow attaching files to specific meetups. Example.. attach a meeting agenda for those attending.
This is based on my having the meeting at locations where the menu has been pre-selected and I want to be able to attach the menu and agenda for members prior to the meetup.

Allow a quiet time setting for Meet Up notifications.
Allow a quiet time setting for M-Up notifications. Essentially don't send me messages between XX:XX PM and XX:XX AM. Since I use my iPhone as my alarm - I hear the ping from meetup msgs recvd at 2,3 &4 AM. I wan't the msgs but they can wait till 07:30.

iPhone App Add to Calendar - put address in NOTES for 1 tap Google Map linking
Instead of putting the meetup venue address only in the Location field of the CALENDAR when you click ADD TO CALENDAR feature, include the address in the NOTES.
By doing this, the iPhone recognises the address in the NOTES field and converts it to a google maps search link, allowing ONE CLICK linking to maps rather than needing to remember or copy and paste the address between apps.
Location then need only be the venue name or the town or city (or both!) without all the extra info.

Allow RSVP "YES/NO/MAYBE" ALL within selectable date range on meetup groups' calendar page
Select date range on calendar page like Google Calendar and then provide the option to RSVP either yes/no/maybe to all events selected within that range.
