Prevent members from being able to RSVP to multiple events going on at the same time
We are having issues with members RSVPing "yes" to multiple meetups going on at the exact same time. Until cloning is perfected, no one can be in two places at once! Please make it so if someone has RSVPd to something, that time is blocked off. So if they try to RSVP to something else that conflicts with that time (or at least part of that time range if an end time is given), it will block them and tell them they are already signed up for something else at that time. I find members often RSVP to one event,…

Make "Greetings" private
Greetings frequently mention names of children, dogs, places I have been, other meetups I'm in, etc. and it would make it pretty easy for someone to read through them all and collect a LOT of information about me.
I especially would like to have the option to make them private in the public view (from someone not logged in or in one of my groups,) but also have the option to hide them from people not in the particular meetup group that the greeter and I have in common, or just hide them period so I'm the only one that…

venue search
We have almost 400 venues on our Venue list (yes 20 pages of venues). It is super difficult to look up a venue because there is no easy way to navigate through the venues except to randomly pick a page then hunt and peck. A search would be easiest, like the member name search pops up the matching members in a little subwindow you can pick from.... we post over 100 events a month and one way to easily post similar events is to look up the venue and see what events were posted there, this search would really help…

Allow More Choice on Highlighted Photos, Please!!
We want to upload more pictures than we highlight on the front page's three.
MORE Options for organizers, leadership team and event hosts, please, on how and which member photos it selects. (Meetup chooses for us.) Or a better algorithm! Thank you!!
We'd like to highlight group members (events, and a few scene background pix) but Meetup chooses for us. Please allow us to UNCHECK (don't rotate through) some pix, by picture. Thank you!!Please Add Per Photo "Highlight" Option into New Meetup Interface!
Larger pictures and photos in the New Meetup are wonderful. Thank you!! Please also allow us…

Send messages to inbox at my account on meetup.com, not my email address
create an option to receive messages in an inbox on the meetup website, not to my email.

additional RSVP-members name field
Add an additional field for what the RSVP counts are called. In our group, we have 68 members, but when members RSVP they may include guests which are members of their family or friends. It is confusing when you see 68 members, but 57 RSVP and half of the RSVP's are guests and not actual members of the group.

Add more currency options
Allow for more currency like the NZ$ which we use! The limited choice causes confusion as our members dont carry US$ or AS$

I went ahead and merged a lot of currency requests into one feature requests. These included Japanese Yen, New Zealand dollars, and the Indian Rupee. If you have a currency request, feel free to add your support here and leave comments.

RSVP on mouse-over
In order to speed up the RSVPing process, there should be a way to hover over the event on the calendar, and upon mouse-over, be able to click 'yes' or 'no' without having to enter the event link, or deal with it through email, etc.
If I'm missing something and this already exists, or something better, PLEASE let me know.
Thanks!!!

Color Code Event Types on Calendar
We offer kayaking / Canoeing / Camping etc events. If I could color code these events so that kayaking (red) Canoeing (orange) Camping (purple) on the calendar it would be easier for our members to be able to understand our events.

Larger photos, please. Pics get reduced so much in the Member's view, it's hard to recognize people.
Pictures in the Member's view get reduced so much that the member's faces are hardly recognizable. Please make these pictures bigger that appear in the member's view. OR allow an option for organizers to crop in on photos for the member's view.

Enpower the "poll" option
-At the moment just 12 lines are allowed in the poll option, if you need to ask for more than 12 choices, you can't use this feature.
-What about thinking a way to obtain an univocal vote eg. not by using a cookie but your meetup Email identity, with a time interval to open-close the poll...etc..?74 votes -
Please reconsider the new "find" feature
The new "find" feature substitutes Meetup methodology for organizer judgement. As repeatedly noted on the forums, Meetup would not want to substitute their logo with a random, member generated photo - please don't force this onto organizers, either.
We don't want to have to make our groups private, but many of us have been forced to take this route. Your method allows inappropriate photos which do not represent our groups to be the main ad.
A high number of group joins isn't the focus of a responsible organizer. ACTIVE members is the focus. If a member can't be bothered to…

iPad app
The iPhone app is fantastically useful. I'd love to see it become a universal app for iPad too.

Create Facebook events when a new meetup is created
When a new Meetup is created, I'd like it to also create an event in Facebook. I know it's possible because I've seen eventbrite do it.
Ideally, this would be an event under either a group or fan page, and the RSVPs would cross over. Meaning if someone RSVPs on Facebook, it would show up on Meetup, and if someone RSVPed on meetup, it'd show up on Facebook.

allow email addresses including a plus sign so I can filter my gmail by group
Using gmail, I can define addresses like "me+spam@gmail" or "me+favoritegroup@gmail". This was rejected when I signed up because it "doesn't look like an email address"

Add the option to make RSVP questions mandatory
Some events really do need answers on the RSVP questions. Some users habitually skip or ignore the need to provide info. I'd like to see a mechanism that invalidates any RSVP's that are blank or incomplete. User can receive a message blocking them from submitting blank/incomplete entries.

Add Donation system
Please write Meetup to move forward on this idea and add your vote. I've collated the following from previously posted idea. Feel free to add comments as well.

One someone enters a guest, ask for name, email or contact info (optional)
There are many meetups where we need to send out information to all that are attending. If someone says they are bringing a guest that's great. But it would be nice to be able to capture an email or phone to contact them directly. Also at a minimum having someone's name in case we want to have pre-printed materials etc. with their name on it. I think adding this feature would help our events a lot. It could be 3 simple fields for each guest. Name, email, phone and they could be optional or required as specified by the meeting…

Change meetup location from zip code to a broader area/multiple zip codes
We hold events throughout the NJ as well as in NY. Our members are located throughout these regions. So having a meetup location which is set to one zip code is limiting as our membership tends to cluster in that particular area. So being able to select mutliple zip codes would be great.
