Event sharing: A "share event" button to import event from different group/meetupo
Currently I cannot tell my group members to attend an event from other meetup by simply sharing the event with 1 click. I have to copy paste that event into my meetup and do all that clumsy copy paste. A simple share button will suffice for two related groups or two related ideas.

Allow my Company to sponsor Meetup Groups all over the world
My company makes that teach Chinese. We would like to sponsor the top 50 Chinese language groups around the world, but your perks program only allows me to sponsor groups within 100 miles of a specific location. I sent a request to Meetup to help me sponsor these top 50 Chinese language groups.... the reply I got was "I'm afraid that we don't do that, but it's a great suggestion!" Hmm, if one of my customers offered me a great suggestion, I would be an advocate for this idea and get my company to implement it. We'll I am manually…

Ability to approve multiple pending members, at once
Have checkboxes next to pending members name so multiple members can be check marked then a "approve" button to approve all (or decline) instead of clicking "approve" and having to confirm.

Include ZIP code in event addresses
Our meetup covers a huge county and members pretty much GPS to wherever they are going. The address on the event page should include ZIP code.

get rid of "Member of XX other Meetups " in profile
If a member chooses not to make their meetup membership information public, then it should not show how many groups the member is part of. This is a privacy concern, and you should get rid of the "Member of 69 other Meetups" when looking at someone's profile. Just knowing the number of meetups is in. Shouldn't happen..

stop sending emails to me for events that I am not RSVP'd to, but just commented on.
I keep getting emails for events that I merely comment on. There should be an option to get emails for 1) just events that you are RSVP'd to, 2) just events that you are RSVP'd to OR have commented on. I don't need to know about every little plan for a huge event that I simply had a question about but decided not to RSVP to. This is big problem for events that require travel (i.e. hiking) and people are scrambling to arrange rides. Thanks.

Search for Meetups by Date
Sometimes I have a sudden free day or evening (such as President's Day) and would love to get to a meetup, but I check my meetups and nothing's happening at that time. Would love to be able to search broader for any activities happening on a particular date.

Add bespoke text to meetup members home page
Currently you are only allowed to add a maximum of around 100 characters of plain text to the top of the meetup homepage.
Our club has a need to put some announcement / bespoke text on the front page as a message to our members (these are not meetups).
Currently not possible. Suggest you allow html ( at least we could put some links in) and increase the number of characters in this area.
Currently a real disabler for Meetup

Since MAYBE is gone, we should allow users to add an event to their calendar before RSVPing.
The lack of a Maybe RSVP is causing huge percentages of No Shows now, since to bookmark an event, people are just RSVPing YES so they see it on their calendar. If they had some way of bookmarking an event or adding to their calendar (like watching an item on ebay), we would only get Yes RSVPs from people who really want to come, and people who are not yet ready to commit will still be reminded about the upcoming event.

Meetup should use https (SSL/TLS) everywhere
Meetup should follow suit with Twitter and GMail (and other services), which now (by default) use https encryption (SSL/TLS) all the time when logged in. This would protect user accounts from being hijacked on an open WiFi network, and promote great privacy in general.

Double Booked
If I RSVP yes for two events on the same date/time it would be cool if there were a pop up to let me know "hey you already RSVP'ed for ... on the same day/time.

stop using two-thirds of my home page to display my list of interests. Move this information elsewhere or at least below the fold.
I have a lot of interests and it takes up most of the page. I'd rather see information about events that I've rsvp'ed for OR up-coming events for groups that I belong to.

Multiple Levels of Membership and Discounts for Events for Some
Looking at other successful groups locally that are not on Meetup, I see a trend in membership and pricing structures. The very successful groups outside of Meetup all have dues, and give discounts to events for due paying members.
To help Meetup groups become more successful and financially solid, I would recommend the following:
1. Allow for multiple levels of membership.
For example, there could be a free membership level that allows anyone to join the group, but members could sign up to be a "Gold Member" (or whatever the organizer wants to call it) which has a set cost…

Make it possible to add non-members to the attendance count.
Currently it's possible to adjust the attendance count after an event but the the Meetup site states that the attendees were all members or guests of a particular member. We advertise our group outside of Meetup.com as well and always have attendees that are neither members nor guests of any particular member.

Don't email me reminders for full/wait listed events
I don't want to be reminded about event that I can't attend (i.e. that's already full or has a wait list)

Please bring back the ability for organizers to post messages directly to the activity feed
I noticed with New Meetup, the ability for organizers to post messages directly to the activity feed has been disabled. I
used this feature quite a bit within my group. This ability is very important for my group as it was a quick and easy way to keep members up to date on group happenings, in addition to emailing.13 votes -
be able to delete multiple members at one time.
i.e. Be able to delete all members that haven't logged-in in more than three months.

Change notes into a meetup
Instead of creating meetup right away, we create notes in the calendar to let members know about upcoming events. If a member is interesting to host the event, we will change it into a meetup. Is there an easy way to change a note into a meetup event, just like how ideas can be changed into a meetup event?

Allow Organizers to edit member role permissions.
The member roles are too defined and restricted. For example, Event Coordinators should have the ability to create polls.

Overhaul Meetup's Approach to Email
People are just getting too many emails now. Meetup seems to add new emails with every site enhancement and needs to do the following to set things right.
1) Give users a single page which will control her/her own email settings. Having a separate page for each group is too much effort.
2) Create a default email profile each time a participant joins a group. This profile should enable a minimal number of emails.
3) Restore the "emails from organizers only" option.
4) Enable users to turn off emails related to ideas.
5) Enable users to optionally set their email…13 votes
