RSVP emails sent to Organizer - Totally Useless spam - RSVP are VITAL for event - driven network
When a member RSVP's for my event, I used to receive their RSVP comment but now I am spammed with an email that indicates a member RSVP'd and it indicates "Wait-listed" or "YES" and "MESSAGE". Since the info that I want to see is not there, I have to message them now to ask them for the RSVP comment I wanted to see, or go to my event and scroll way down to the bottom and hope that their REQUIRED info is there if they chose to do it that way. If Not, then I have to maybe check the…

Allow the option of putting reminders about certain meetups on "mute."
Right now I get multiple reminders about meetups whether I have RSVP'd yes, no, or not all. Whether or not I have RSVP'd no, I'd like to be able to put reminders about certain meetups on "mute" if I'm not interested so I don't get any more emails and notifications about that meetup, but continue to get reminders for other meetups that I'm interested in even if I haven't RSVP'd yet.
Please note: this is a related but slightly different request from those who are asking to stop receiving notifications only when they formally RSVP no; I would to have…

Is their a way to import email contacts (from yahoo, gmail, etc OR .csv files) to see where my friends are and what groups they belong to?

There is not currently a way to do this
-email addresses are kept private on the Meetup site. You can invite your friends to your group using their email addresses, but that is not quite the feature you’re looking for here. Thank you for the suggestion! -
Add "home town" to the mouse over tool for the photo of attending members.
Adding "home town" to the mouse over tool for the photograph of attending members on the event page will assist in developing car pools.

Meetup needs an app so you can easily connect to meetup from other websites....Just like facebook, twitter ect
Meetup app so you can easily connect to meetup from other websites....Just like facebook, twitter ect
Better social sharing for members and page holders to connect to others and let them know about there group....Like I would put the meetup app on my website and on my facebook community page if Meetup had an app...Then people would see the meetup ap symbol click on and would automatcially take to the meet up page that person is a member of.......More connection and better business networking as well1 vote

Are you referring to embedding widgets or the Meetup logo into your page? You can already do this from the Promote section of your groups.
If you’re referring to something else, let us know.

Don't send emails to remind the Organizer, after all I set the dang thing up! Less emails please!!
As the Organizer of my group the amount of emails from Meetup notifying me of actions I've just made is annoying. Limiting email notices would be wonderful! Less is more meaningful.
Someone smart needs to rework the email notice system. Please!
I don't need to be reminded of every little action taken on here3 votes -
"push notifications"
Within your iPhone app, allow me to turn on push notifications for specific groups I belong to so I am instantly alerted whenever that group posts a new meetup. This would be very helpful for groups containing hundreds of members, where spots for each meetup get filled quickly.

Fix the popup that shows up next to people who have signed up for an event
The Pop-up that shows up beside people who have signed up for an event is annoying in that once it pops up there is no way to make it go away so I can't read the details of the event. My cursor quickly passing over someone on the way to whatever I want to do is enough to brign the popup up. It is way too touchy. It won't go away. I have to click on someone else to make it go away. Some peoples popups are so huge that you can't read any of the info about an event…

Extension of "Good To See You" Feature
As an extension of the "Good To See You" feature, it would be useful to have something like a "Hope You Can Join Us" to extend a quick personal invitation to group members who may have a specific interest in the event that you have scheduled. Also, a "We Miss You" would be a quick way to let members who haven't attended in a while know that we miss seeing them around. In the past I have addressed both of these issues with emails but somehow integrating this in the Meetup interface would speed this process up, especially for groups…

Allow organizers the ability to feature suggested meetups.
I would like the ability for organizers to feature a suggested meetup. I know that the meetup app cannot see suggested meetups unless you view on web. This would help because then it would not be overlooked. Even on the desktop site many people glance over the suggested tab. It would also make members more inclined to provide ideas, and to make them feel heard.

Organisers and hosts don't need email alerts when members RSVP no. It's frankly a waster of time and only adds to email clutter.
Stop emailing hosts for new "no" RSVP's. it's a waste of time.

I'd like to see the meetup's I'm an organizer of show up in the Suggested Meetups area in the group view.
All meetups should show up in the group view of the suggested meetups search. I know this isn't happening because my groups don't show up there, only in the date view are they shown.

Make members open the descriptions before they RSVP
My meetup group walk wilderness trails and rocky beaches. But many of them RSVP without reading the descriptions which has important details about the conditions, difficulty, and footwear needed and so on. Can we have an option so that members must open the event description before RSVPing to encourage them to read the details.

Please Solve the Email Problem/Two notices for same event sent in one day (one group)
This morning at 9 I "announced" an event for next Wednesday evening. Great. Fine. Tonight at 7, Meetup sent out a reminder for the *same* event. WTF. So my members get two emails for the same event, sent not even 12 hours apart. Why why why why why do you do this?!

Sorry for any confusion as to how this feature works. Reminders are automatic
-they are sent based on when the Meetup is scheduled. They’re independent from the Meetup announcements. Learn more about when they are sent here:http://www.meetup.com/help/When-are-reminder-emails-sent-out-for-a-Meetup-event
You can disable these reminders, if you’d like, by editing the Meetup in question.
If you have any other questions about reminders or announcements, please write in to support@meetup.com. If you have other ideas for how this feature could work, please leave them as comments here.

Add an easy way to show those members that no show so it's easy to track
I would like there to be a way under the members section where I can organize members based in their activity, ie no shows. I would like to be able to track this that RSVP yes and no show for events.

Allow a way to track who votes event questions by name on event page and allow organizer to change it.
Allow a way to track who votes event questions by name on event page and allow organizer to change it, as in post activity votes. Who has paid for expensive events, etc in a quick easy to count list for organizers.
This will replaced how the old RSVP comments where used at top right side... not Below the event mixed with NON-RSVP comments
1) RSVP comment on right side meet this requirement. The idea is to allow organizers to track post event activities without making another meetup event. For example we could have a dinner event and then want to…

Give Active Members Preference when in Waiting List
Sometimes my waiting list has a popular speaker which sparks tons of new members to join and create a waiting list quickly. I want to be able to give preference to members that I know are active so I can bump them from waiting to 'yes' before the brand new members (who may not even show up).
This could be accomplished by simply showing a tag around active members in the waiting list and allowing a one-click bump to 'yes' for them.

Email signatures
It would be very helpful to have an email signature which is optionally appended to the bottom of each group email.
