I'd like the "What's new" photos to come ONLY from the latest meetup.
"Allow More Choice on Highlighted Photos, Please!!" comes close, but I'd like the "What's new" photos to come ONLY from the latest meetup.

text notification of venue or date/time changes
An event was canceled and I didn't know it until I got to the place and found out the hard way. I get too many emails as it is, and updates by email are lost on me. I want to set critical updates to post on my phone by text or phone call.

To be able to send a text or that would upload to comments of an event.
To be able to send a text that would upload to comments of an event. I recently was hosting an event and internet access on my smartphone was impossible. So I could not post a comment on the event indicating to the other girls where we were at waiting for them. I could have been a catastrophy. I could however send a text. If there were a way to sync the two. I'm not even sure if this type of technology is available but it's a good thought.

Categorize Events
I am a member of a group with several different organizers. I enjoy the events that a couple of the organizers host (museums, movies, etc.), but the other organizers are professional promoters and I never care about their events (dance clubs, booze cruises, etc.). Right now there is no way to distinguish among the group's various kinds of events. There should be a way to categorize events so that I can be notified only about those that I like. (In theory I could filter the e-mails, except that one of the promoters is named "Lou" and I obviously don't want…

Membership dues access control - ON/OFF for RSVP, meeting place, time, contact details
I manage a club and membership fees are needed but on meetup there is no difference between members who pay dues and those who don't. The membership dues system needs some control options:
Can RSVP (or not), can see meeting time and place (or not), can see contact details (or not).1 voteour team is currently looking into improving the controls / functionality of membership dues.

Account 'Global Calendar' with user controlled options
It would be nice to track all upcoming meetups tied to an account on a single calendar. User controlled color coding so each group would have a different color. Maybe the ability to show / hide groups from the calender on the fly.

Give member custom title
When editing member custom title on the members page, have cursor stay on the member just edited and saved instead of returning to the top of page one. I am editing every member to give them a title and I find it frustrating to be returned to page 1 and needing to page through to where I left off.

Don't force us to set the event limit to 1 participant in order for RSVPs to automatically go to waitlist.
I posted this under another heading, but wanted to edit the title to make it more clear what I was asking for. Couldn't figure out how to edit my suggestion, so I'm repeating it here.
As it is now, if we want control over whom we add to the Yes list based on who fulfills the requirements to go on a trip, we have to set the trip limit to 1 (ourselves). That shows that the event is full, and then when people sign up, it forces them on the waitlist instead of the Yes list, and then when they…

More control over RSVP settings in relation to moving waitlisters to Yes list
I am one of many organizers of one very large backpacking group. We require a liability to be signed in order to go, and to be emailed each attendees phone, emergency contact info, etc. before people can be moved to the Yes list. Half the time, people don't email the info, so we have to track them down, send multiple emails out. It became a huge pain in the butt, so the workaround is that we are now requiring that people put themselves on the waitlist, immediately email us the required info, and as they send us their info, we…

Send members directly to a link location after logon
Current situation:
When a currently loogged out member clicks on a link or enters a link that leads to a particular page/forum/event announcement on the meetup, that member is given the option to log on. After logon, the member is sent not to the link location, but to the Meetup's home page.Desired situation:
As with other networks, such as LinkedIn, send the member directly to the original link location after logon, not the meetup homescreen. After the member enters his/her logon information, Meetup should behave as if the member had been looged on already and THEN clicked on a…3 votes -
Allow organizers to provide members with a coupon code toward future registrations.
This would be optimal for marketing and business development for the group.

Please take people to the full announcement page to RSVP
I have spoken to several other organizers about this and they all agree that by giving members the option to RSVP without being taken to the full announcement page may be easier for our members, but more of a pain for us. We are spending far too much time answering emails to questions that are clearly answered in the announcement, People are so anxious to get into a Meetup they click on yes automatically and don't bother to click on the 'learn more' option. I have even asked on the setup page, have you read the full announcement? I'm always…

Allow Orgs to change the font size for the group name banner at top of page
Our group has a long name. With this last round of meetup changes, the font changed for the top banner that contains our group's name. The last word now wraps to a second line so the banner takes up more space. Allow us to modify the font size to make it slightly smaller so it doesn't take up so much of our page.

Meetup to Calendar Entry should have the Meetup Group in the title
Entering Meetups into Calendars, at least Outlook, gives the event in the calendar the title
"First Meetup" or so. Better would be to have it
"NYC Python Group - First Meetup", having the group showing up in the calendar is much more important than the name of the meetup.

Change the email notification from "Stay in Touch" Back to "How was" your meet up.
The email that is sent to members who attended a meetup used to be an email where you could rate and give your comments on how the meetup went. That was changed the last few weeks to an email to where you can select all who showed up or select certain individuals to tell them it was good to see you. Since this change our meetup ratings/responses have diminished greatly. I believe it would be best to go back to the old email to rate the meetup or to give comments than to allow members to send the "it was…

See a history of declined members.
I belong to a group with many organisers. We assign roles to each other but it would be useful to see a history of what members we have declined and who has accepted or declined members so we can keep track.

Click Email from Meetup on mobile >> go to correct link in App
It's not hard really. You relieve an email from Meetup & you use your mobile phone to revive email.
You have the Meetup App installed because you like & use Meetup.
When you click on the various links in email currently, it opens a browser to the correct area of the website & a notification in the browser asks you if you want to go to the mobile app.
IF you click this, it opens the app just to the landing screen - you lose where you are, you cannot accomplish what you want without searching for it & if…
