Unhide group's past events from Google. Right now, group can only be "found" via their upcoming events.
Groups should be able to attract new members from outside Meetup (via search engine/ Google) in addition to those already within Meetup ecosystem.
Potential members usually look at a group's past events history to evaluate whether they are interested in joining.
However, i have noticed that when googling for my events, only the upcoming events for my group seem to be "found" by google and past events seem to be "hidden" or are not SEO-optimized to be found.
Whether this is intentional or accidental, it is shortchanging Meetup as much as the group because think of all the missed opportunities…

fix event post on Facebook to reflect title and pic of event, not general meetup page!
When I copy and paste the link to my event into Facebook, it shows the Meetup group title and image - NOT the event title and image. Not very effective for promoting a specific event to encourage people to come... so I have to recreate the whole meetup event in Facebook and promote the Facebook event instead... Meetup is becoming a wee bit redundant unless it can be fully featured. Thank you!!

Bring back the organizer's forum
I'm not certain why the Organizer's Forum was taken away, but I do think it should be there. Let's fact it, it was a good place for organizer's to talk to one another, leave comments etc.
My only guess is that Meetup did not want to deal with all the negative comments about them. If it were not for the organizers Meetup would not exist.

New background image needs tile horizontal only an tile vertical only capability before launch.
RE: New meetup page design:
The new background image feature needs a tile horizontal only and tile vertical only capability implemented before launch. Right now all it does is tile infinitely which is not very designer friendly at all.2 votes -
Drop the new "Latest RSVP" emails
I'm an organizer, and this is a terrible idea. Before, I could see immediately who said yes and who said no, without opening the email. Now I have to open every one. It's a huge time waster!

Allow organizers to choose which tab the homepage defaults to
There are 3 tabs at the top of every homepage: the first is for "Upcoming" events, the second is for "Past" events, and the third is for the group "calendar". Right now Meetup automatically shows the "Upcoming" tab as the default whenever people visit the site. But I have a lot of events that I don't necessarily want to make an official meetup for, but I would still like to promote to my group and that I list as "notes" on the calendar, and that is the only place they show up. I constantly get people telling me "hey did…

Allow individual images for meetups because of different locations and topics
Is there a possibility to have an individual image per meetup? I schedule meetups in different parts of NYC and I would like to keep the main image of my meetup group as it is, but still maintain individual images per meetup that reflects the location where the meetup will be held.

Comments and tagging after posting the pictures on android
Comments on photos can't be read or made and tagging can't be done from phone right now. Apart from this discussion boards is the only other feature that makes me access the Web version.
Thanks for such a great app.

Drop Late Cancels Into 'No Show' Status Automatically
I saw a lot of topics about allowing for summary reports for late cancels. But those would only be available to head organizers who run the meetup. The feature I'm proposing would be automatic and instant.
I think there could be a time frame set (e.g. 2 hours before a meetup), and if someone cancels within that time frame, they are automatically bounced to No Show. Then when the event host/organizer reviews the event later, they will know who cancelled last minute. After they've dealt with those names, they can start marking their actual No Shows (i.e. who were still…33 votes -
Enable organizer to totally disable the RSVP category if desired
I just took over as Organizer for the New Orleans Drawing Group Meetup.
Most of the attendees of our local drawing group are usually by word of mouth, but we do get, for the present, just a few attendees who find out about the group from the Meetup page and only a very few RSVP - so most of the time, it appears on our meetup page as if the number of attendees are so meager. We rarely fill the room, so we do not even need anyone to RSVP. They can still contact me or post or ask any…2 votes -
Caption for photos on event listings
I almost always include a photo in my event listings, and I usually put the photo at the top. However, if I write into the event listing a caption for the photo, those words will be the first in the event listing, and the first couple of sentences in upcoming events are summarized on the home page of the Meetup group. So it would be helpful if I could put a caption on the photo that did not appear in event summary on the home page.

YES, NO, WAITLISTED & INTERESTED event status needed.
Hi Meetup Support,
As an organizer, i am always juggling between members who are genuinely coming & only interested in a meetup. The WaitList status is also very useful...
The interested status is very important! From the group of interested members we find members who can confirm. We also find out who are the more active members too.
I have so many members who tell me they are interested but didn't rsvp since they cannot commit an event.
So let the organizer allow an event to have Interested members just like the ability to allow WaitList members in an event.

Bring back the ability to see a list of the newest Meetup Groups near a given location
Bring back the ability to see a list of the newest Meetup Groups within so many miles of one's location. I used to be able to do this on the page for finding groups, and until a few years ago, the newest groups were also listed in one of the weekly newsletters.
I do get e-mails from Meetup when new groups are founded, but only for interests I've already indicated. That means I can miss two kinds of groups:
1) Groups in categories that I haven't searched or participated in before.
2) Groups in categories that are worded slightly differently…

Create a page on the site where local Event Space providers can offer their space to Meetup Organizers.
Create a page on the site where local "Event Space providers" can offer their space to Meetup Organizers. Many times organizers have a hard time locating affordable or free space for events. This resource page would provide organizers with localized listings of providers.
This information is then used to expand meetup by allowing more organizers to find better more suitable venues to host events. This expands meetup capabilities to host more events.
I propose a page where people like myself can promote their space with a Space Profile: Photos of all the rooms, details on each space, affordable costs if…

Combine calendars of My Groups events under one My personal calendar.
Having all my groups events combined under one personal calendar instead of having to view the calendars at each individual groups would be nice.

Organizer communication between groups or between an organization
They are the 'Organizer Meetup Group "Movement 5 Stars Val d'Agri." For groups linked to the Movement 5 stars would be very useful for the Meetup platform offered the opportunity to communicate with all Meetup Groups Movement 5 Stars. For Example Direct communication between the Organizer. It would be possible to have this implementation?

Provide a way to turn off (or perhaps totally eliminate) the ability to RSVP 'No'
I feel that the 'No' RSVP option is redundant and leads to spam. If someone doesn't RSVP then they don't; end of story. If they have an abiding need to mention why they haven't RSVPed then surely this could be made as a POST to that meetup.
However, perhaps others feel differently to me ;-). Is there a way, as an Organiser, that I can totally stop all 'No's for my meetup or, at least, stop the 'No' emails being emailed to me. Yes, of course I can block all emails for my meetup but I want to know about…

Provide an easy (one click) way to list all my future meetups (those I have RSVPed to).
Yes, I can scroll through all future meetups to see which ones I have RSVPed to (much too clunky). Yes, my calendar could be a solution but this doesn't indicate in any way my meetups on a day unless I specify a date.
I am a Meetup newbie so maybe Meetup already contains what I want.

Enable reordering files so you don't have to load them in the order you want them to appear.
Several ideas: Alphabetically, by size, by date added, by dragging and dropping to desired location.
