Add a statistic that counts the number of events lead by the event organizers.
Add a statistic that counts the number of events lead by the event organizers. That way, the organizer can easily tally the number of events the event leaders did in a quarter and reward them with recognition, gift, etc. This would also be a way to raise incentives for other organizers to participate more actively.

No- Shows
I would like to see the number of 'no shows' on member's profiles again. And make those no shows available to be seen by all event organizers. That would give the organizer a heads up if that member is likely to be a no show. Then the organizer has an option to let someone on a waiting list attend because of the likelihood of the first member being a no show.

Turn off the "liked your comment" email notifications
I don't remember receiving these before - maybe "Like" is a new feature? - but today I got a least three such email messages, none of which I cared about. Turns out I can't even turn them off, at least not from what I'm seeing in my account options. Pretty ridiculous of MeetUp to assume that *everyone* is interested in every single "Like."

Change the email notification from "Stay in Touch" Back to "How was" your meet up.
The email that is sent to members who attended a meetup used to be an email where you could rate and give your comments on how the meetup went. That was changed the last few weeks to an email to where you can select all who showed up or select certain individuals to tell them it was good to see you. Since this change our meetup ratings/responses have diminished greatly. I believe it would be best to go back to the old email to rate the meetup or to give comments than to allow members to send the "it was…

Create a page on the site where local Event Space providers can offer their space to Meetup Organizers.
Create a page on the site where local "Event Space providers" can offer their space to Meetup Organizers. Many times organizers have a hard time locating affordable or free space for events. This resource page would provide organizers with localized listings of providers.
This information is then used to expand meetup by allowing more organizers to find better more suitable venues to host events. This expands meetup capabilities to host more events.
I propose a page where people like myself can promote their space with a Space Profile: Photos of all the rooms, details on each space, affordable costs if…

link github account with meetup profile
I would like to link my github account with my meetup profile. The result is that people can see my linked github account on meetup.com exactly the same way they see my linked twitter account.

Show Event Host at top of RSVP List
Organizers RSVPing for a Meetup someone else is hosting show up at the top of the RSVP list. This is confusing as it makes it appear that the Org is hosting. The Event Host should be the first name on the RSVP list.

message list of the mailing list not reachable to everybody
It would be better that all the messages exchanges among the members could not be reached by anybody as now: also non meetup.com members can see everything and this is not good for privacy of our member (sometimes in their messages of the mailing list are speaking about their own private): please make a sort of button for leadership group to decide who can see the list of messages (anybody, only leadership team, only organizer/superassistant). Thanks

Banned members, reasons why banned for Organizers
It would be helpful if you gave us a comment section for when we "ban" a member. I took over a group with quite a few "banned member" and I'm not sure why they were banned from the group.
If you give us a comment section when we "ban" a member ,it will give a referral as to why we or a previous organizer "Banned" a member. It will give us some in site if a Banned member asked to be reinstated back into the group

Offer organizers stats on how often a member changes status to Not Going, a member who constantly cancels last minute as as bad as no shows
Members who constantly cancel at the last minute should be tracked by stats, and available to organizers. This has grounds for removal just as much as multiple no shows but need the stats to explain why member is being removed

"Stop being notified about conversations in this Meetup group"
It bugs me how when I get emailed about a comment on a Meetup event, the bottom of the email has a link for "Stop being notified about conversations in this Meetup group". What I would LOVE is if that got changed to this: "Stop being notified about conversations for this Meetup event." Just because I no longer want to hear conversation about an event that I can no longer attend, sure doesn't mean I want this whole group to go silent... silence just this one event, NOT the whole group.

Add a short 1-line personal comment field to the "Its was nice to see you" buttons.
The "It was nice to see you" buttons are a great idea, making it really easy to say that to someone, but they are too impersonal. It would be really nice if you could add a very brief private message to go along with the message sent to the recipient allowing it to be more personal and showing that you really mean it.

Accept new members from mobile apps
Mobile app (iOs anyway) doesn't have tool enabling you to see and accept new member inquiries. Need to be able to do this through the app and not by opening a web browser.

Go back to placing the members name in the notification instead of "Latest RSVP for . . .
This forces the organizers to open up each email to see who it is that has rsvp'd for each event instead of keeping the person's name in the email notification as it is suppose to be. This takes up too much time and is very annoying. I now just delete the emails and go into the site for updates. I should not have to do this as things should be changed to make it easier for us, not harder and more time consumming.

Please consider changing the RSVP system. When an auto email is sent out announcing a new event PLEASE give us organizers a tool to ELIMINA
This is an existing idea, officially completed, but in practice not. The arguments are: people having not RSVP'ed obviously not come, accumulated "NO"s show negative "energy". And a few members seem to spend their time RSVP-ing NO to any new event. Hide "NO' RSVPs on the Meetup page. TOO MANY "NO" RSVPs MAKE IT LOOK LIKE ITS NOT A GOOD EVENT TO ATTEND!!!

Email signatures
It would be very helpful to have an email signature which is optionally appended to the bottom of each group email.

Overhaul the privacy system, especially where email addresses are concerned
Meetup has some basic privacy issues, some of which are more urgent to address than others.
For example, ANYONE whether they are a Meetup member or not, can see photos and info for any Meetup even if they are not logged in.
When Meetup sends an email to a bunch of people - even those who never got the original, but a reply, then personal email addresses of earlier correspondents are disclosed.
Personal email addresses should NEVER be used in communications on sites like this for all sorts of reasons including personal choice, restricting the people who have your email.

In private groups, Meetup info and photos are hidden from non-members. Also, for public groups, there is a feature that allows for the venue information to be hidden. If you or an Organizer have trouble with these features, please write to organizer@meetup.com.
Mailing list replies will show a member’s email address. Is this what you are referring to? Please expand a bit more on your idea. Thank you for your contribution!

Configurable Member Reliability Waiting List
A unfortunate occurrence at Meetup events are last minute cancellations or no shows preventing those on waiting lists to effectively plan and participate in events. People tend to prefer planning activities in advance and such behaviour is disrespectful regardless of intent.
I suggest logging unreliable behaviour by type and develop a Reliability Rule Engine, which could be configured to automate the process of penalizing less reliable people on waiting lists in favour of more reliable people. In effect, people with the least penalty points appear at the top of the waiting list and get RSVPed before those with more penalty…
