Currently to run a slide show I can do ONE meetup event at a time. Our group is having an event and we would like to have a slideshow that contains pics from all or many events. We'd likely do this time and again for annual parties, etc. Please let us have the option of running a slide show that consists of more than one event WITHOUT having to stop the show of one event and start up a show of another.

I see many groups that interest me, but getting all the emails after you join is overwhelming -- Need a place on the site to "save" a group you come across that you might want to join in the future but do not want to join immediately!

When reading a discussion or (in my case) viewing photos following a photo oriented meetup I keep wishing there was a way to view other posts/photos from the same person.

The leader on my board says it isn't possible. Can you make it so?

This is a really simple change but will make a big difference!

We generally don't like to open our events till closer to the date so people don't sign up really early and forget to come thus taking up spots. I know the 'sing-ups open:' text is just a little bit further down the page but people just aren't see it and keep wondering why our RSVPs are closed or asking when they open.

I went to the meetup website and it was impossible to find a conversation I was having with someone. I had to go back to my email and find the email to reply to the message I had received. Please make it easier to find the real conversations users are having with others in the meetups.

Although the calendar is great for planning it would be nice if it also allowed to show the meetups in the past

This could be a great reminder for those like me that go to almost 2 to 3 meetups every week, to make sure they can track back exactly where they went last month, year etc

During signup should give various personal information like where do I come from, gender etc. WTF, WHY? When confirming the first login, I MUST provide a photo - hell, WHY?!

Also the "give a brief introduction" - okay, is this posted somewhere, is it just on my profile page? Why do I HAVE to enter something?

I just wanted to join a meetup group. After logging in I have to go to settings again and remove information about birthday and gender again.

When I join a new group and it asks me to describe myself I go to my website's 'about' page and copy and paste what I have there. It'd be nice if meetup stored my past introductions and/or answers to intro questions and allowed me to quickly populate the introduction field with a past introduction. It could then be edited to tailor it to the specific group if need be.

Meetup should make it easier for people to start conversations with other Meet Up members. Right now, when you navigate to someone's profile there is not much information there about them.

Sites like Myspace and Facebook have a feed, maybe info like DOB, hobbies

Instant messaging between online members would also likely be a good thing IMO

Sometime we just want something closer enough to the place we are. Add a map view can be useful to know whats going on around you. Could be an additional option to group and date view.

Many people RSVP for an event but don't show up. Why not create a penalty system, which puts a strike against a person who didn't show up. If the person crosses a particular number of strikes decided by the organizer, the member could be warned or kicked out of the group. Also could help getting quality people (without any penalties) for limited spot events. A similar system could also exist for those who show up every time they RSVP.

I don't want to have to change my password every time I forget it. I'm even less likely to remember a second or third password I had to create on the fly, than the original password I chose. All I need is a hint!

When I go to MeetUp.com I'm greeted with "Welcome back, Carter Gibson!" It's a little official and it's be friendlier if it just said "Welcome Back, Carter!" :D
