Allow my Company to sponsor Meetup Groups all over the world
My company makes that teach Chinese. We would like to sponsor the top 50 Chinese language groups around the world, but your perks program only allows me to sponsor groups within 100 miles of a specific location. I sent a request to Meetup to help me sponsor these top 50 Chinese language groups.... the reply I got was "I'm afraid that we don't do that, but it's a great suggestion!" Hmm, if one of my customers offered me a great suggestion, I would be an advocate for this idea and get my company to implement it. We'll I am manually…

Allow more than one active perk active, or provide means for a system-wide perk.
There should be a way to have more than one perk active, or to set a perk as system wide if it is not tied to a geographic area.

include functionality to make meet up perks available in multiple geographic locations. My perk is digital and I could offer it to more
My offer is digital. I'd like to be able to offer it to more groups.

Make Meetup a place where people want to actually stick around and INTERACT
I've been on Meetup going on 3 years now. I hold weekly Salsa Parties which I post here. Anyone who's interested in Salsa Music and dancing in a club environment in NYC, my meet ups are it.
Yes, it's a very niche group, not for everyone, but that's what Meetup is about; the short end of the long tail. Almost all the members I have joining enter my groups, rsvp for 1 or 2 times and then they disappear off the face of the earth. Does RVSPing even matter anymore?
In the three years I've been on here, the closest…

view date when someone is added to a meetup event from the waitlist
meet up hosts needs to see the date and time a member is added from the wait list, as it is, the host cannot tell who was added last minute to the meet up due to a last minute cancelation. They could be wrongfully classified as a "no show" by the host..

allow organizers to Announce Sponsors whenever they want...not just when they add them to the Sponsor or Perk list.
it is already a great feature...it is just that sometimes I don't have the other info I want to share with my group at the time I set up the Sponsor...or they offer something later on that is noteworthy. Being able to Announce them whenever we want is efficient. Right now, you have to delete the sponsor and set them up again if you want to use the Announce feature in Meetup.

Link events attended by a given member
Idea title: Albumizing across organized meetups.
Idea summary: Enhance meetup events by bundling all email content as a single file.
Albumizing: Electronic (photo = event content) version of photo album.
Advantage: Encourage attendance in events for multiple organized meetups.
Contributors: Meetup organizer and event attending member(s).
Resource: Event content, free OpenOffice program suite.
Album: Attending member's Meetup (offline) folder: OpenOffice-Writer file(s).
Method: With Meetup's approval, I'll provide how-to content and suggest strategy.
Next: Send email asking questions - David Butler.

Allow perk submitters to offer something to the groups for having them accept the perk.
More perks will be accepted if you are able to offer the Meetup's a promotion for accepting the perk.
I know as a meetup organizer I would certainly be more tempted to accept a perk if there was something in it for my team.

Allow the Sponsor URL to include referral punctuation, so we can earn rewards on those clicks.
One of my sponsors gave me a unique URL address to track how many people I send to their site ... but I get an error message that it "Doesn't look like a URL". Please expand your accepted formats to include referral punctuation, so we can earn those rewards. For example: http://lv.houseseats.com/?referer=cyn@grangegraphics.com
As is, I can hack it as a Perk URL, but they belong with the sponsors and should be formatted as such, as well as equal mention on the Event Invitations where all sponsors and their links are listed at the bottom of group emails.

Allow an organiser to restrict a perk to members with paid dues
It would be nice if I could restrict the perks ours sponsors offer to only paid up members.
This would stop people joining the group just to get at the perks without paying.

Perk usage tracking to support give-back to MeetUp group.
It would be nice if we could track the Meetup that a person belonged to when using a perk so that we could donate a percentage of sales to group that sent them our way. This is sort of like an affiliate program.

Partner up with Zazzle or CafePress
Partner up with Zazzle or CafePress to allow groups to create stores for their groups. The idea would be to allow only people in the group access to the store in order to buy t-shirts, coffee mugs, etc.

make your site login work with cookies. damnit, I can't use meetup anymore!!!
I have "cookies turned off" in Chrome, and I decided some time ago to activate cookies only for sites I trust. Given that, I enabled cookies for about 50 sites already, about 47 of them worked fine. YOURS NOT.
Do this:
deactivate cookies in your google chrome browser (I must confess, I use a quite unknown browser, at least you seemed to not have tested with it)
go to meetup.com
enable cookies for www.meetup.com
try to login
failI have to say, that making your website not work for people who selectively activate cookies is quite a fail. Most web-frameworks…

Allow organizers to temporarily hide a Sponsor or Perk.
After all the effort of setting up a PErk or Sponsor, Organizers should be able to temporarily hide them from the group when they aren't offering a deal at the moment...but can bring them back to show them to the group when the Organizer wants to promote them again. This would save a lot of time!

Make it easier for Organizers to Move Up or Down Sponsors
Right now, if you have a lot of Sponsors, it is VERY time consuming to keep moving them up once spot, refresh, move them up again...until you get the Sponsor in the desired order. Click and Drag would be helpful or some ranking system where you just tell Meetup what the ultimate order position should be.

For "Perks" you need to add the option of a set price for specific items that ar not % off, dollars off or free.
One of our venues we use is offering a set price for domestic draft beers of 50 cents on Wednesdays. Since the draft beers are diferent prices normaly I can't use the current options of percent off, dollars off or free. You ned to add a field for offer description.

I believe that we could put on a meetup ball sponsored by MeetUp.com.
