Move the 'month' calendar to the front instead of having hidden in a hard-to-find tab.
I saw this was already an idea posted but was 'completed' so I couldn't vote for it. I am posting it again in the hopes it will create a change. I am losing members who join but then can't seem to easily find ALL the posted events because the calendar is hidden in a hard-to-find tab. Instead there is one upcoming event featured and newer members think it is the only one. Too many new members never figure out where the calendar is despite my telling them how to find it so I have far fewer members and thus far…

Allow Organizer to use one photo for the Organizer ID on the home page and a different picture for their profile..
Many groups have co-organizers and would like a picture of all the co-orgs on the home page. If you could choose a different picture to display on the home page for the organizer photo than is in a profile, then one of the co-orgs could post a group photo. And in their profile section, under members, they would still be able to display their individual photo.

Allow assistant organizers to see dues payments made by members.
I delegate responsibilities to several assistants and one is responsible for handling dues, but she is not able to see if a members has paid dues or not. I as the organizer have to research this every month. I would like assistant organizers have the option to see everything that I see. If it's optional than organizers can make that choice for their group if it meets their needs.

Offer new meet up organizers an easier way to use the site. Things around the site are not user friendly. One phone call would be plenty.
Better support system for new organizers

Allow organizers to add meetups/community events to several dates all at once.
When we add a event or community event and it lasts a week, we have to copy it 6 more times... it is so time consuming. It would be nice with a community even if it could show it through a whole week.
I also would like to add same events that happen randomly through the year on the same screen... so again I don't have to copy it several times.

attach a thumbnail for facebook- will make it sooo much easier to market
http://meetu.ps/hs8qs Even if it is just meetups logo or the groups logo and it doesnt crawl for individual images thats fine- but it needs SOMETHING-- people do not click on posts without images

Allow us the FREEDOM to choose the color of fonts we want on different parts of our meetups.
I would like BLUE captions under SOME of the pictures I've uploaded. For example, I have several picture albums. In one, I have uploaded pics. I want them to have BLUE captions.
And, I want other members of my meetup to be able to post pics and choose the color font for their captions.

Allow organizers to give priority RSVP status to certain members for "X" amount of time
There should be a way to create an event that's hidden to all group members for "X" amount of time, but certain members can see it and RSVP until it opens up to everyone in the Meetup group.
For example, I might want Bob, Dave, and Karen to have a day or two to exclusively RSVP, and then if they don't, the event is open to all group members.
I'm shocked that there isn't anything like this currently on Meetup. Help me out guys, let's vote this up so it gets some recognition.

give the option to alter the joining date.
We are an established group (going for over 3 years) and only recently added our club to meetup. It would help us with membership management and chasing up membership fees if we could alter the joining date.

Give away free name badges to organizers of meetups to make it easier to remember other members' names
Give away free name badges to organizers of (new?) meetups. Monetize/pay for it via paid ads on the badge and/or put the Meetup.com logo on it. This will both be a good source of revenue and brand the Meetup.com name and the members will benefit since it will be much easier to remember the names of the other members.

provide a "all day" feature for the time of the event
There are festivals approaching (and ones already scheduled in my meetup group, anyway) and these run ALL DAY. I am posting the start time as the time of the first band (for Sound of Music Festival, for example) WITH A STATMENT that this is merely the time of the FIRST band that day, and that I realize that we will meet throughout the day depending on the band they want to see.
BUT my members only see the 1:00 time when they look at the title of the event, and then choose NOT TO GO, when in fact, they can…3 votes -
Ability to delete and edit venues.
Some we will never use again. Sometimes a venue is close but in another room, perhaps.

The week has always begun on Sundays, not Mondays. Please correct you r weekly calendar to reflect this.
The week begins on Sundays, not Mondays. The calendar should be posted for events starting on Sunday as Sunday is the FIRST day of the week. This way it coincides with regular calendars and is proper. Please make this important change at once. Thanks

Allow organizers to create and save notes about the venues.
I love that I can search for a venue and the address fills in for me. I'd also like to be able to save a customized note about the venue such as unclude a web address, phone number, brief description, parking details, cover charge, etc. These notes would display in the invite automatically and I wouldn't have to keep adding them to the event description.
This would would make scheduling meetups a breeze. I would also like the option to edit the notes as I am scheduling the event. Thanks!!

I suggest that area restrictions be obligatory in meetup groups. My groups all say western MA but only cover and have people from hampshire
stop inaccurate area descriptions by the way why does meetup not have a contact option

Enable Event Organizers the ability to see Member's attendance record
Currently, only Organizers, Co-Organizers and Assistant Organizers can see the attendance record of members, including the amount of No-shows they've had.
I suggest allowing Event Organizers to be able to do this. They have control over calendars, and if a meetup is suggested by someone who has a record of repetitive No-Shows, I'd like Event Organizers to be able to see this, and use that to determine whether to approve an event or not. Our group has a strong policy against allowing people with poor attendance be Hosts for events, and therefore all members of the Leadership Team needs to…3 votes -
Allow the option for the group setting to automatically hide members names
Some groups can only exist and thrive if membership is automatically anonymous. For example, an Alcoholic's Anonymous Group, or similar professional or peer support groups for people with a physical or psychological issue that they don't want eveyone in their Meetup Dine Out group to know about if someone looks at their profile.
My understanding is that individuals can block display of all the groups they belong to. But there should also be the option for group organizers to block display of affiliation with the group both from those who have joined and in the display of an individual's group…

Show info that I'm already a member of given meetup.
(on meetup page).
The only heuristic i see now to determine that is that the "join" button is not present. But this is not a reliable indication for the "subconscious mind" for peace of mind.3 votes
