Change meetup location from zip code to a broader area/multiple zip codes
We hold events throughout the NJ as well as in NY. Our members are located throughout these regions. So having a meetup location which is set to one zip code is limiting as our membership tends to cluster in that particular area. So being able to select mutliple zip codes would be great.

Add more print options from the calendar
It would be nice if we were able to print out a calendar that would print every event we RSVP'ed yes to, or Yes & Maybe to, OR print all. Also, the organizer could print All events at once with their RSVP included.

message list of the mailing list not reachable to everybody
It would be better that all the messages exchanges among the members could not be reached by anybody as now: also non meetup.com members can see everything and this is not good for privacy of our member (sometimes in their messages of the mailing list are speaking about their own private): please make a sort of button for leadership group to decide who can see the list of messages (anybody, only leadership team, only organizer/superassistant). Thanks

The ability to download entire photo album easily
The "all sizes" then click "original" and then save to get 1 hires photo is OK until you want to do it for 30 photos. A "download all photos" from album in original format is desperately needed.

Provide organizers with badges they can award members
I want to be able to reward members who perform services for my meetup, such as giving talks, video recording meetings, or taking notes and posting them.
I've love to have a pool of "merit badges" available that I can assign meaning to, and give to my members, and have meetup track a count for them. These should show up on the member's profile, and probably next to their name in the RSVP list, so others can see the reward.
It would also be nice to automatically reward people who attend regularly, or at least give a count of the…

return video to the home page
Many of us, my meetup in particular, had a video which was a great representation of what people would find when they joined. This function should be returned to the individual Meetup homepage.

Allow organizer to control which pictures appear on home page, not a random sample as is the current practice.
Allow organizer to control which pictures appear on home page, not a random sample as is the current practice. Organizer could select 1) pictures taken/loaded within the past X days, or 2) pictures from a certain album, or 3) specific pictures

Have another status button to "CONFIRM" a person's attendance.
In all meetups, people RSVP "YES" and are on the "Going" list, while of course, others do the same and are on the "Waiting List." Quite often, when an event is created several weeks in advance, people on the "Going" list don't bother to check the calendars and end up flaking out at the last minute. So, what I've been doing is asking people to add the text "Confirmed" in their RSVP a week or so before the event, so that the folks on the waiting list (who indeed want to come) can join in, if others don't respond. It's…

Allow organizers to delete RSVP comments
Right now, members can use their RSVP comments for spam, to issue public complaints, to express their grievances, or to express sarcasm and negativity. While constructive feedback is always welcome, organizers should have the option to delete any comments that are not constructive, similar to the way any other comments on the site can be deleted.

Stop promoting other EVENTS on other groups after someone rsvp's. PLEASE. Too many cancellations because people get too many options.
I have run 3 groups for several years and the Cancellations, especially at the last minute (48-72 hours) are at ALL TIME HIGHs. I believe that this is due mostly to the crossposting that meeting does when people rsvp for a groups event and then gives them a whole bunch more options from OTHER GROUPS EVENTS taking up the whole middle (not side bar) of my groups page. PLEASE, I am not paying meetup to send people to other events in other groups. I CAN understand the small sidebar on the left promoting other groups in the area but not…

Develop a dynamic map showing members by zip code, so organizers can see where to schedule meetups.
I manually plot where my members, active in the past 2 years, live by zip code. This helps me select a Meetups location for maximum attendance. I also like to know how far my actual attendees traveled. It would also help members to see which other members live in their area.

Allow Reoccuring Notes on Calendars
There are several events around our area that would be of interest to members of our group but not really events we are willing to formally schedule and organize with a meeting place and person. For these we put notes on the calendar so our members know they are happening and can act as they see fit. Some of these events are repeat events. Currently you have to put those in individually, it would be nice if we could set them in as repeating events.

Filter Members by category
Organizers choose their own categories. For a web developer group of 200 members, local businesses want to filter by designer, programmer, project manager etc.

Best feature to solve member problem is to have a feature called "SUSPEND"
Best feature to solve this problem is to have a feature called "SUSPEND" . I can't understand why Meetup still not up to speed with this idea. Most forums have this feature. I don't want to delete a member but I like to suspend them. That way no need to write a explanation why you are deleting them. Before you suspend a member they already had their warnings about the particular behavior they had weather it was not turning up, not logging in often or my case not using a real photo on their profile. To send a message all…

Flaw in the manual waiting list
The manual waiting list is there to keep control over who is participating.
But if a person from the "yes" list changes their reply to "no", a person who is not even on the waiting list can reply "yes". This has caused a lot of trouble lately for our organizers.35 votes -
E-mail members who have joined recently
In the E-mail Members, create a radio button for Members who have joined in the past 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, and 3 months. It would also be great to have another radio button to E-mail pending members only.

What to bring list
Evite has a really cool feature that allows the host to list items and how many of that item are needed for the event. It then tracks who signs up to bring what and counts down the number of that item needed. Can we have something like that? It would really help for things like potlucks, camping trips etc.

Drop Late Cancels Into 'No Show' Status Automatically
I saw a lot of topics about allowing for summary reports for late cancels. But those would only be available to head organizers who run the meetup. The feature I'm proposing would be automatic and instant.
I think there could be a time frame set (e.g. 2 hours before a meetup), and if someone cancels within that time frame, they are automatically bounced to No Show. Then when the event host/organizer reviews the event later, they will know who cancelled last minute. After they've dealt with those names, they can start marking their actual No Shows (i.e. who were still…33 votes -
Add the ability to vote on photos in photo albums and sort by top vote getter
We hold monthly photo contests based on the photos uploaded from our Meetups. We would like a simple way to have users anonymously vote on one picture per album and then have a way to see a chart of the top 5 or 10.
