Make it easier to search for or find past meetups in a group
Hi there,
It would be nice to have an option to search for a past meetup in a group with keywords of the "Event name" , organizers name and attendees name. So if someone wants to pull out info of past meetups, it will be easy.

Freeze changes to RSVPs after deadline
Once a deadline for RSVP has passed, also allow organizers to then freeze all RSVPs at that point in time. Currently members can still change a "yes" to a "no" even after an important deadline has passed, making it difficult to find out who may still owe for fees, etc.

give the automatic waiting list people a "confirm spot within 6 hours or back onto the waiting list"
AUTOMATIC WAITING LIST: problem: some people don't check their email often enough to learn that they got moved into the 'yes' RSVP column, resulting in inadvertent no-shows
MANUAL WAITING LIST: problem: people without constant access to their email rarely get the opportunity to affirm a "yes" spot 'cuz the smartphone/cubicle people beat them to it.
SOLUTION: give the AUTOMATIC list a "time-to-confirm" setting, where people get moved into the open 'yes' spots, but have to confirm within a set amount of time (i.e. 6 hours), otherwise they get bumped to the bottom of the waiting list.238 votes -
Rank people by flakiness (yes rsvp but no-show) and allow organizers to specify max flaky level
For popular events, where space is very limited, there are often long waiting lists. When people RSVP yes but then don't show up it creates a sad situation where a much-anticipated meetup ends up feeling like an empty house.
It would help prevent this if meetup users were given a "flakiness" score that is determined by how often they RSVP yes but do not show up. Organizers could then specify that a meetup is only available to people with a low flakiness quotient, helping to ensure that those who RSVP yes will actually show up and the meetup won't be…

Require a "Host" for "Meetups in the Making" before it can become official.
I love that my members make suggestions for meetups, HOWEVER, if I (organizer or co-organizer) cannot host or attend that meetup, SOMEONE has to step up to host it before I will allow it to be made official. Have a box underneath "What" and "Where" called "Host/s" where members can step up to host and be the "go-to" person for the event.

Copy someone else's meetup for your group
Many of us in Utah plan, or co-plan meetups for our groups for a centralized meetup. It would be great to not re-invent the wheel each time we do this. We should create a way to copy a meetup from another group and post it into our own without adding all the places, times, dates, etc.

Allow Organizers to create Meetups in the Making
You have given members the ability to create Meetups in the Making, but have not allowed organizers the same ability!
The only way I could work out to get feedback from my members was to post a meetup title followed by multiple question marks, i.e. Oscar Party???? Then I had to put into the description, and post a comment, explaining to members that this is not a meetup yet, but that if they are interested, they should click on "count me in". And then later, if it becomes a meetup, I will let them know so they can go in…

Secured contact list of members accessible only for organizers, co-organizers and event organizers.
For every event when members RSVP I have questions asked for mobile no. and email id and members are often upset about entering the same information again for all the events they plan to attend. Can we have a contacts field included which members can fill when they join the group. so when the organizer prints the RSVP list it includes the email address and contact no. of all the members attending.

additional RSVP-members name field
Add an additional field for what the RSVP counts are called. In our group, we have 68 members, but when members RSVP they may include guests which are members of their family or friends. It is confusing when you see 68 members, but 57 RSVP and half of the RSVP's are guests and not actual members of the group.

venue search
We have almost 400 venues on our Venue list (yes 20 pages of venues). It is super difficult to look up a venue because there is no easy way to navigate through the venues except to randomly pick a page then hunt and peck. A search would be easiest, like the member name search pops up the matching members in a little subwindow you can pick from.... we post over 100 events a month and one way to easily post similar events is to look up the venue and see what events were posted there, this search would really help…

Add a place for orginizers to make note about members.
I have difficulty remembering certain characteristics about the members who attend my group and was hoping you guys could add a place for organizers to make notes about each member

Allow organizers to add Tags to a meetup
Allow organizers to "Tag" meetups and let users key in tags they are interested in. Let users search meetups (past and future) by tag. Let members subscribe to certain tags and then let us email to just those users. Let organizers add tags for users and notify them if we did so. And on and on.

liability
This is important for everyone!!! Organizers and participants. Organizers need a way to protect themselves from lawsuits or you will soon see your valued meet-up sites disappear. This could easily be remedied by having a liability form offered by meet-up (u guys can afford the costly legal teams that we can't afford) as a turn-on option to force RSVPs to acknowledge and accept.

Provide organizers with badges they can award members
I want to be able to reward members who perform services for my meetup, such as giving talks, video recording meetings, or taking notes and posting them.
I've love to have a pool of "merit badges" available that I can assign meaning to, and give to my members, and have meetup track a count for them. These should show up on the member's profile, and probably next to their name in the RSVP list, so others can see the reward.
It would also be nice to automatically reward people who attend regularly, or at least give a count of the…

Enpower the "poll" option
-At the moment just 12 lines are allowed in the poll option, if you need to ask for more than 12 choices, you can't use this feature.
-What about thinking a way to obtain an univocal vote eg. not by using a cookie but your meetup Email identity, with a time interval to open-close the poll...etc..?93 votes -
Track members last discussion date
To ensure members are actually participating online, it would be great to have a way to track a last post date for discussion board info. There's a last attended date for events, but I'd like to also track when people last posted.

Allow More Choice on Highlighted Photos, Please!!
We want to upload more pictures than we highlight on the front page's three.
MORE Options for organizers, leadership team and event hosts, please, on how and which member photos it selects. (Meetup chooses for us.) Or a better algorithm! Thank you!!
We'd like to highlight group members (events, and a few scene background pix) but Meetup chooses for us. Please allow us to UNCHECK (don't rotate through) some pix, by picture. Thank you!!Please Add Per Photo "Highlight" Option into New Meetup Interface!
Larger pictures and photos in the New Meetup are wonderful. Thank you!! Please also allow us…

Change meetup location from zip code to a broader area/multiple zip codes
We hold events throughout the NJ as well as in NY. Our members are located throughout these regions. So having a meetup location which is set to one zip code is limiting as our membership tends to cluster in that particular area. So being able to select mutliple zip codes would be great.
